If you want to be fast, you need money.
No longer just a testing or experimentation step, artificial intelligence (AI) has made a concrete contribution to many jobs such as: writing, design, customer care - consulting, call center... Especially with the job of creating content on digital platforms, which is a trendy career trend for young people, AI can now produce almost a complete video , the user only has one thing to do: create commands for the application to execute.
Not only is it a technology experience, working in the field of payment software programming requires Phan Hoai Nhan (29 years old, living in Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City) to constantly update new trends. From the trial steps, to gradually improve the performance of the AI application, Hoai Nhan accepted to spend nearly 5 million VND (including fees for many AI applications) to complete his work in 1 month. From the initial smooth experience, when users got used to using it as a necessity, the application began to demand fees.
Hoai Nhan shared: “If you don’t pay, the speed and accuracy are very different from the first day of trial. I use many different applications, so the total cost in a month is quite a lot, so after nearly 3 months of experience, I only maintain 1 application, mainly for reference purposes. Like writing a report, synthesizing data when needed, doing it myself is still safer and better… AI can support suggestions, but users must note that this is published knowledge and this artificial intelligence synthesizes and gives suggestions according to user commands, but it is absolutely not new knowledge or published for the first time, so don’t pressure yourself that AI is something very magical and generous.”
Core values and self-competence
The dominance of AI is clear, but for many young people, the question is sometimes not the fear of being replaced by AI at work, but whether young people who are familiar with technology can maintain a proactive mindset to create new values.
Working in a technology company and willing to pay nearly 10 million VND/month to experience more than 20 AI applications, Luu Phuong Trinh (30 years old, Computer Science engineer, living in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) shared: “I put in data and give commands for the software to synthesize, which is fine, it shortens the time you have to sit and read documents. But always remember that AI only does the synthesis work, it is not creative but only copies from others. Therefore, for those who work in the creative field, AI only supports but cannot replace. Abusing AI can push you into copyright infringement.”
No one can predict the end of the technological development ladder. It is understandable that technology is present in all stages of work, even completely replacing humans in some areas. But in that technological cycle, when all applications are no longer free, will we still maintain a proactive attitude towards work and life? “I used to draft many work reports for a whole year of operation, or an advertising campaign, for me that used to be normal. But then there was AI, I don't know since when I became dependent on it, and one day, due to a payment problem, AI did not work and I had to struggle to draft a simple summary report. Only then did I suddenly realize that I was losing my ability to work on my own, which used to be my own creative strength,” Phuong Trinh added.
The development of technology is something that has been and is being seen clearly, but the mindset in the 4.0 revolution is the choice of each person. To answer the question: Where are young people in the AI world ?, first of all, do not let yourself be just a small dot in the process of constant development of technology.
Sharing about AI in artistic creation, director Pham Vinh Khuong expressed: “AI can help us compile scripts easily and professionally. However, I do not encourage people to use AI in this important step. In my opinion, the color of human thinking and creativity brings uniqueness to the work. AI only copies, so the script will be old and boring, not to mention the generative nature (self-creating new things on the basis of old things) of AI is very mechanical, leading to character details and contexts being constantly erroneous, leading to unnaturalness and illogicality”.
