The program brought together 6 of the latest fashion collections from 5 talented young designers. Designer Nguyen Minh Cong presented the "Folkloric Charm" collection, drawing inspiration from Dong Ho folk paintings with the desire to preserve and safeguard traditional cultural values. Designer Nguyen Viet Hung's "Spring Apron" collection drew inspiration from the image of Kinh Bac girls in springtime, wearing traditional four-panel dresses, embroidered aprons, and wide skirts. Designer Thanh Thanh Nguyen introduced the "Floating" collection, recreating the mystical, majestic, and awe-inspiring atmosphere of the sacred Tam Chuc.
Designer Nguyen Hung Bao's "Nhung Nho" collection evokes a sense of longing in the audience, likened to the beauty of women—delicate yet always exuding elegance and mystery. Designer Thach Linh presented two collections: "Nguyet Nhan Thien," inspired by lotus flowers, Bodhi leaves, and the Tam Chuc tourist area, where each design tells a story, a wish, leading the audience into a sacred, peaceful space; and "Viet Quoc Phi Thien," featuring traditional costumes, bodices, and four-panel dresses, inspired by lotus flowers and dragons—magnificent yet elegant and modern.
Beyond simply celebrating the beauty of fashion, the "Sacred Wishes" Fashion Show also honors a heritage region, an ancient land, and the cultural and religious values of Vietnam. Each ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) and evening gown on the catwalk conveys messages and wishes in the unique way of young people. Stories of spiritual culture and tradition are recreated on stage in a youthful, fresh, and vibrant style, suitable for a modern audience. From this, the program emphasizes that fashion is always intertwined with the history of the nation, accompanying the flow of time, and that fashion has a responsibility to preserve, promote, and create to take national culture further.
Along with fashion, the "Wish in a Sacred Place" show also features a unique combination with music through performances by renowned singers beloved by the audience. These include singers Tan Nhan, Hoa Minzy, Phuong My Chi, Anh Tu "Voi Ban Don", Double2T, Nhat Huyen, Ha Myo, Sao Mai Bich Ngoc, Tien Hung, Lohan… Each song performed harmoniously with the fashion show, contributing to the emotional experience for the audience.
The dance performances were also a highlight of the show, featuring elaborately choreographed, graceful, and visually stunning routines. Among them, the magnificent "Great Compassion Mantra" dance, performed by 100 dancers, stood out, leading the audience into a sacred Buddhist cultural space within the world's largest spiritual and cultural tourism complex.
"Wishes in Sacred Places" is also a show within a project to promote Vietnamese culture and tourism through the lens of fashion, initiated and organized by designer Thach Linh. Accordingly, a fashion show will be held in each province and city nationwide, featuring unique characteristics linked to the scenic spots and culture of that region. Prior to "Wishes in Sacred Places," Thach Linh made a big impact with two art programs: "Essence of the Ancient Capital" (held in Hoa Lu Ancient Town, Ninh Binh in September 2023) and "Sketches of the Homeland" (held in Chi Linh City, Hai Duong in November 2023).
