Many destinations attract tourists during the September 2nd holiday

During the September 2nd holiday, famous tourist areas and spots in Da Nang, Gia Lai, and Vinh Long attracted a large number of people and tourists to visit and experience.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City said that the total number of visitors to the city during the holiday (from August 30 to September 2) reached more than 620,000, an increase of 24% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international visitors are estimated at more than 168,000, an increase of 49%; domestic visitors are estimated at more than 452,000, an increase of 17%. Total tourism revenue reached more than 2.2 trillion VND, an increase of 28% over the same period in 2024.

The average room occupancy rate in the whole city is about 55 - 60%, of which the occupancy rate of 4 - 5 star hotels and equivalent is 65 - 70%. Many 4 - 5 star hotels in An Hai, Ngu Hanh Son, Hoi An Dong, Hoi An wards have an occupancy rate of over 80%.

Some tourist areas and spots welcomed a large number of visitors during the 4-day holiday this year: Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area, Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, Mikazuki Water Park, 365 VinWonders Nam Hoi An Water Park, Hoi An Ancient Town...

During this holiday, Da Nang city organized fire and water spraying at Dragon Bridge for 5 consecutive nights from August 29 to September 2 to serve the people and tourists.

Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area offers entrance tickets of only 350,000 VND/child and 550,000 VND/adult (for Vietnamese tourists) from August 30 to September 30, arranging a separate entrance for tourists wearing red flag with yellow star shirts (from August 30 to September 2), organizing a mini concert "National Pride" (from August 20 to September 10)...

Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park organizes a ceremony to pray for peace and the dead - to commemorate the heroic martyrs, a parade of the God of Wealth and the 12 zodiac animals, and a lucky draw (from August 30 to September 2).

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province Nguyen Thi Kim Chung said that on the occasion of National Day this year, the number of visitors to the province is estimated at 293,750, of which 110,250 are overnight visitors, with estimated revenue of VND623 billion, up 12.5%, 9.5% and 10% respectively over the same period last year.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, Nguyen Thi Kim Chung, said that the reason for the high number of visitors is because the province organized many events before and during the holiday. In general, tourism activities took place safely, civilly and effectively, the number of visitors and revenue increased, contributing to promoting the image and developing tourism in the province.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung, during the recent holiday, the tourism industry proactively implemented many solutions to meet the sightseeing and relaxation needs of people and tourists. Accommodation establishments, tourist areas and attractions, dining and shopping establishments in the area carefully prepared their facilities; arranged adequate human resources; strictly implemented regulations on publicity, listing and selling at the right price; ensured absolute security and safety for tourists. Thanks to that, tourism activities in the area took place safely, civilly and effectively; the number of visitors tended to increase, room occupancy at accommodation establishments was estimated at 30 - 70%.

The number of visitors attending events and visiting tourist areas and spots increased sharply for sea and island tourist spots, mainly concentrated at Eo Gio tourist spots, Ky Co, Center for Scientific Discovery and Innovation, Bien Ho (Pleiku), Dai Doan Ket Square area and Pleiku Museum, Ia Ly Hydropower Plant... estimated to welcome 183,500 visitors, an increase of 14.4% over the same period last year.

On this occasion, the province organized many major events to attract domestic and foreign tourists such as: Festival "Essence of the Great Forest - Convergence of the Blue Sea", art program in Pleiku "Gia Lai: Sea and Sky in Harmony - Shining Essence" with brilliant fireworks display in Quy Nhon and Pleiku wards...

Create a highlight to attract visitors to Vinh Long

During the 4 days from August 30 to September 2, Vinh Long province welcomed more than 176,400 tourists, an increase of 16.5% over the same period last year; of which, international visitors increased by more than 38%, with nearly 12,000 arrivals. Total tourism revenue reached over 173 billion VND, an increase of nearly 20%; the average room occupancy rate at accommodation establishments reached 70-75%.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province, Duong Hoang Sum, said that this year, localities and tourism businesses have proactively organized many attractive and unique programs to create highlights to attract visitors. Many new tourism products with local imprints: "A glimpse of Ham Luong", "Experience the garden" ... contribute to diversifying choices for tourists.

In particular, the program "Colorful Ben Tre River Week" held in Ben Tre ward attracted a large number of people and tourists to visit, shop and experience culture.

At tourist areas and spots, sightseeing, entertainment, culinary experiences and garden specialties with a strong Western flavor are systematically organized. Activities such as cai luong performances, intangible cultural heritage displays, thematic exhibition "80 years of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam", art program "Vinh Long - Sharing the Beat of Love for the Fatherland" ... are deployed, contributing to spreading the national spirit, arousing pride and creating a joyful festival atmosphere; promoting the image of tourism and cuisine of Vinh Long province to people and tourists.

Tourist attractions, accommodation facilities, and restaurants focus on renovating and upgrading landscapes, implementing attractive promotions and services. Many experiential activities attract visitors such as traditional music, making pancakes, wrapping coconut candy, picking fruit in the garden, etc., contributing to promoting the image of Vinh Long tourism imbued with the culture of the Southern river region.

Many travel agencies organize tours to visit fruit gardens, traditional craft villages, national historical sites and typical destinations in the Mekong Delta. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center promote the image of Vinh Long through digital platforms such as Fanpage, YouTube, TikTok, electronic information portals... and effectively maintain hotlines to support tourists at sightseeing, shopping, dining and entertainment spots.

According to Mr. Duong Hoang Sum, although the weather is somewhat unfavorable, this year's holiday, tourist attractions in Vinh Long maintain a stable number of visitors, entertainment and experiences. This is a positive signal showing the sustainable recovery and increasing prosperity of local tourism; affirming Vinh Long as one of the attractive destinations in the Mekong Delta.

In the coming time, the provincial tourism industry will continue to improve the quality of products and services, promote the advantages of rivers, cuisine, traditional culture, promote digital transformation, strengthen regional connectivity, and gradually build Vinh Long into a friendly and attractive destination in the eyes of domestic and foreign tourists.
