The Hanoi Autumn Festival 2024 is organized to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10th), while also promoting the beauty, cultural and historical values, and tourism of Hanoi, highlighting its unique and attractive features, and honoring its landmarks, historical sites, and heritage – making it an attractive, high-quality, and safe tourist destination.

In addition to the opening ceremony and the "Autumn in Hanoi " art program on September 13th, organized by the Hanoi Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center at the stage in the flower garden area of Ba Kieu Temple, there will be approximately 150 booths participating in the Festival, divided into areas designed and set up along Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Le Thach Street, and the Octagonal House area.
The highlights of the Festival include spaces and models showcasing Hanoi's historical relics; a space recreating the image of bustling Hanoi filled with flags and flowers welcoming the victorious army returning home; the "Hanoi 12 Seasons of Flowers" space; an area introducing typical tourism products and destinations; a space promoting traditional craft village products; and the "Flavors and Colors of Hanoi" culinary space.
In addition, there are booths promoting tourism from various provinces and cities. There are also booths from international tourism agencies to introduce cultural and tourism destinations from different countries, promoting bilateral tourism activities. There is also a cultural, artistic, and entertainment experience space called "Hanoi - The Rhythm of Youth."

The program also includes activities such as parades and performances by the City Youth Union and 30 districts and towns (lion and dragon dances, Mid-Autumn Festival lantern processions, kite and flower displays, puppet shows, etc.); and introductions to Hanoi's culinary culture. Simultaneously, there will be folk dance and sports dance performances; a traditional Ao Dai fashion show; a children's parade, children's painting activities, and a children's art exhibition. Some districts and towns will showcase their products and cultural tourism destinations on stage and at their booths.
According to the plan, the Festival will be held over four days, from September 12th to 15th, 2024, in the area of the Ba Kieu Temple flower garden, Dinh Tien Hoang Street, the Ly Thai To flower garden area (courtyard 3 in front of the Ly Thai To Monument, Octagonal House), Le Thach Street (Hoan Kiem District) and some districts and communes in Hanoi City.
The Hanoi People's Committee requests relevant departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of districts, towns, and related units to implement the Plan, ensuring its content and progress. The organization of the Hanoi Autumn Festival must be effective and economical, combining budget resources with social mobilization resources as regulated.
