Along with that, the People's Committee of Ly Son island district also organized many special activities in the series of cultural, sports and tourism events of Ly Son in 2024 with the brand positioning product being the Ly Son cross island swimming competition.
Speaking at the press conference, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province Nguyen Tien Dung said that the Quang Ngai Tourism Week event and the series of cultural, sports and tourism events of Ly Son in 2024 aim to introduce and promote the beauty of the homeland, country and people of Quang Ngai in general, Ly Son in particular; contribute to stimulating demand, attracting tourists, attracting tourism businesses to expand the market, building new tours, routes and tourist destinations; attracting investors to learn about investment opportunities in the province.
At the same time, raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and people in improving health, preserving and promoting national cultural identity, natural resources, and protecting the environment to develop tourism.

“All cultural, sports and tourism activities of Quang Ngai Tourism Week and the series of cultural, sports and tourism events in Ly Son in 2024 are aimed at implementing Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee on promoting tourism development to gradually become a spearhead economic sector; the project on tourism development in Quang Ngai province to 2025, with a vision to 2030 in 2024 and the plan to implement the rural tourism development program in new rural construction in the period of 2021-2025 in Quang Ngai province”, emphasized Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province Nguyen Tien Dung.
