Many cultural and artistic activities take place on the occasion of Hung King's death anniversary 2024

The Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony and the 2024 Culture and Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land will take place from April 9-18 (ie March 1-10 of the lunar calendar) at the Hung Temple Historical Site in Viet Tri city and districts, towns and cities in Phu Tho province.

The ceremony includes: The National Ancestor Lac Long Quan's death anniversary and the offering of incense to commemorate Mother Au Co on April 14 (March 6 of the lunar calendar); The Hung King's death anniversary on April 18 (March 10 of the lunar calendar); The Hung Kings' death anniversary of districts, towns and cities in the province from April 9-18 (March 1-10 of the lunar calendar).

Sharing with the press, Mr. Nguyen Dac Thuy - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province said that this year, the festival activities are closely linked with tourism promotion, in which the highlight is the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land with many unique cultural activities, creating attraction and attracting tourists. Thereby, aiming to introduce and widely promote the potential, strengths and tourism resources in Phu Tho.

Street music program "Viet Tri Livemusic" at Van Lang Park, Viet Tri city; Cultural camp and display of typical products; Mass art festival and Phu Tho folk songs; bronze drum beating, stabbing at the Public House in the Hung Temple historical relic site.

In addition, there are a number of other activities organized to best serve tourists and people nationwide when making pilgrimages to the homeland such as Xoan singing performances in ancient villages at Xoan wards of An Thai origin, Thet communal house, Lai Len temple, Hung Lo communal house (Viet Tri city); Volleyball tournament of strong teams competing for the Hung Vuong Cup; Trade fair and OCOP product display;

Open rowing competition at Van Lang Park Lake, Viet Tri City; Banh Chung wrapping and cooking contest, Banh Giay pounding contest at Hung Temple historical relic site. Especially, the art program and high-altitude fireworks display at Van Lang Park Lake took place on the evening of April 17 (March 9th lunar calendar)...

Hung Kings' Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival aims to educate the tradition of patriotism, deep gratitude to the Hung Kings and ancestors who built and defended the country; educate the traditional morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and the strength of great national unity towards the origin, gratitude to ancestors' merits.
