On the afternoon of April 9, at Nui Thanh ( Quang Nam ), the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 summarized the emulation movements "Army joins hands to build new countryside"; "Coast Guard joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind" for the period 2021 - 2025. Colonel Le Huy, Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2 chaired the conference.

Over the past 5 years, the Regional Command has thoroughly disseminated the Party and State's viewpoints and policies on new rural construction to cadres and soldiers, clearly showing that this is a major, long-term policy with high consensus and unanimity in implementation. The emulation movement has been linked with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style with rich and diverse contents and forms, with the motto "mainly promoting internal strength" , in accordance with the capabilities and practical situation of the unit and locality.

Officers and soldiers in the Regional Command actively volunteered to contribute to the fund for the poor and poor children with good academic performance, reaching 610 million VND. Closely coordinated with the Party Committees and authorities of 06 provinces and cities in the Central region to effectively implement the contents and targets of the emulation movement, associated with the implementation of the program " Coast Guard accompanies fishermen ", and the mass mobilization work "Coast Guard with ethnic and religious compatriots". Gave 12,750 gifts to policy families, fishermen, ethnic and religious people and students in difficult circumstances, 850 scholarships and 512 bicycles to children of fishing families with difficult circumstances who are overcoming difficulties in studying; sponsored 15 students in difficult circumstances (1,000,000 VND/month).

In the work of preventing the Covid-19 epidemic, 20 tons of rice, 600 boxes of instant noodles; 150,000 medical masks, 5,000 bottles of antiseptic solution and some items serving the work of preventing the epidemic were donated. Medical examination and free medicine were given to 1,500 policy beneficiaries and families in difficult circumstances, 300 first aid kits were donated. In coordination with the authorities and localities, 08 Great Solidarity houses were donated, 11 gratitude houses and 03 comrade houses were supported, built and repaired.

Effectively implementing the policy of "Eliminating hunger and reducing poverty", from 2021 up to now, the Staff Department, Squadron 21, Squadron 202, and CSB Station 2 have actively participated in providing material support, seeds, capital, and means of production to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty for 65 households with an estimated total amount of more than 150,000,000 VND.

Through the practical implementation of the movement, many specific actions, models, examples, good and creative ways have appeared and been applied and replicated, such as: Organizing the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" in the provinces and cities of the Central region.

Coast Guard Region 2 rewards collectives and individuals with good achievements in implementing emulation movements.

Youth Union and Women's Union organizations have Actively coordinate with Youth Union and Women's Union organizations in the stationed area to organize community and social security activities such as: Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Youth Month; Youth projects: "Love for borders and islands", "Each branch has a love address"; programs: "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday", "Green March", "Light up the countryside", "Join hands to protect the marine environment", "Soldier porridge"; "Warm winter, loving spring"; "Loving autumn moon"... are implemented with many creative and effective methods, highly appreciated by local Party committees, authorities and people.
