G7 warns of AI's impact on culture

Báo Nhân dânBáo Nhân dân22/09/2024

The joint statement after three days of work stated that AI is “increasingly penetrating the value chain in the cultural and creative sectors, affecting the working conditions and livelihoods of cultural professionals as well as the sustainability of a vibrant and rich cultural ecosystem”.

In light of this, G7 culture ministers have agreed to work together to address the ethical, legal, economic and social issues posed by AI technology and AI-based tools for the creative and cultural industries.

In addition, these officials also called for identifying and authenticating cultural content that AI systems have created, changed, or modified, in whole or in part.

Focusing on addressing AI-related challenges is one of the main agenda items during Italy's year as G7 President.
