At the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue highly appreciated the initiative to organize a visit to Hanoi by the Association of Revolutionary Soldiers Captured and Imprisoned by the Enemy in Nghe An Province, expressing his joy and emotion when meeting the delegation of the Association of Revolutionary Soldiers Captured and Imprisoned by the Enemy in Nghe An Province at the National Assembly House in the atmosphere of the whole country joyfully celebrating the 78th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2023) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2023), and the heroic atmosphere of celebrating the 93rd anniversary of Soviet Day - Nghe Tinh (September 12, 1930 - September 12, 2023).

The National Assembly Chairman highly appreciated the policy of Nghe An province when deciding to establish the Association of Revolutionary Soldiers Captured and Imprisoned by the Enemy in 2009. Over nearly 14 years, the Association has always adhered to its principles, purposes, functions, tasks, and powers to carry out its activities and achieved many comprehensive results.

Accordingly, the Association has gathered, consolidated and built an increasingly strong organization with 17 districts, cities and towns; 21 Executive Committee members, a structure of 7 members of the Standing Committee, 3 members of the Provincial Association Standing Committee. The Association has performed well its functions in political and ideological work, especially during the period of many major events in the country. The Association always focuses on doing well the political and ideological work for cadres and members so that members always believe in the leadership of the Party and State, do not doubt or waver, do not fade the revolutionary ideal, actively study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh.
