Effective application of digital transformation in teaching and management
In the period of 2020-2025, the Thai Nguyeneducation sector has effectively implemented many practical emulation movements. During the implementation process, many good models and effective methods, especially in the application of digital transformation in teaching and management, have actively contributed to innovation and improving the quality of education in the province.
Identifying “Digital infrastructure is the foundation of all digital transformation activities”, Tuc Tranh High School ( Thai Nguyen province) soon focused on prioritizing investment in digital infrastructure. The school added technology equipment, expanded Internet access, and linked with businesses to seek technological support.
Accompanying the school, VNPT supports and upgrades high-speed transmission lines for classrooms, information rooms, equipment rooms, libraries, and professional group rooms; OLM supports upgrading software packages and providing in-depth training for teachers and staff. The Parents' Association and a number of businesses also support resources, helping the school ensure infrastructure conditions for digital transformation implementation.
The school's digital library has been put into operation, helping teachers and students access learning materials, exam questions, lesson plans, and video lectures anytime, anywhere; easily search for interdisciplinary resources, and expand knowledge beyond textbooks. This is an important step to create a solid foundation for a generation of students who are self-studying, independent, and adaptable to the digital future.
Many teachers have proactively learned AI, shared knowledge with colleagues, participated in intensive training courses, and gradually incorporated technology into their daily lessons; using Canva to design lessons, using ChatGPT to plan lessons, using Google Form to test and evaluate, and testing AI dashboards to track student progress.
The school has also boldly organized an online high school graduation mock exam on the OLM platform, creating opportunities for students to access modern exam formats, practice computer-based test-taking skills, and get acquainted with the online learning environment.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Principal of the school happily shared: “Digital transformation is not to replace teachers, but to upgrade teachers. If getting involved and taking action is to upgrade yourself, then that is what everyone wants to do and do it at all costs. Therefore, staff, teachers and students always create inspiration and a positive and effective working and learning atmosphere. Each small change is creating a big movement in the whole school.”
Innovation in vocational education - continuing education
Vocational education and continuing education, with the characteristic of being the "open arm" of the national education system, play a particularly important role in flexibly meeting the needs of the labor market, better serving the lifelong learning needs of the people.
Determining the right role to promote strengths in the new context, Phu Binh Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center (Thai Nguyen province) is both a bright spot in educational results and a testament to the spirit of overcoming difficulties, proactively innovating and adapting.
Over the past years, step by step overcoming difficulties in funding, facilities, and teaching staff, Phu Binh Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center has achieved many positive results: The high school graduation rate for many years has reached 100%, ranking among the leading groups in the vocational education and continuing education sector of Thai Nguyen province; The quality of training and learning of students has increased steadily over the years: the rate of excellent students is 9.8%, fair - excellent is over 90%.
Notably, the Center has enhanced digital transformation, 100% of classes and students apply digital transcripts, digital signatures, synchronize data to the national database, apply IT in teaching through the OLM online platform, 100% of teachers are trained and proficient in using it.
The center has done a good job in organizing study and career counseling, contributing to the division of high school students in the area; linking with colleges, coordinating to organize vocational training for students.
Discussing the solution orientation for the next phase, Ms. Dao Thi Khuyen, Director of the Center, said that the unit will strongly innovate teaching methods, focusing on students, teachers playing the role of orientation, guidance and inspiration; encourage the application of active teaching methods, taking experience as the foundation, promoting critical thinking, creativity and self-study ability of learners.
“Strengthen career counseling and orientation to meet social needs. Actively coordinate with businesses and vocational training institutions to organize integrated learning models: cultural learning in parallel with vocational training. Promote personalized career counseling, helping students clearly identify their own abilities, choose the right direction, and meet future job requirements,” Ms. Dao Thi Khuyen emphasized.
