It won't be easy for Da Nang Club.
After two consecutive defeats since the start of the season, Quang Nam FC will enter the match against Da Nang FC in a disadvantageous position. Although theoretically they will be playing at home, this advantage is entirely in the hands of their opponents, as coach Van Sy Son's team still has to rent the Hoa Xuan Stadium (in Da Nang City).

Ha Tinh FC is looking for its first victory at Vinh Stadium since joining the V-League.
While Quang Nam FC lost to HAGL (0-4) and Nam Dinh (0-1), Coach Truong Viet Hoang's team also lost to Ha Tinh FC (1-3) and drew with SLNA (0-0). Therefore, in today's match at 5 PM on September 29th, both teams are determined to win to quickly escape the relegation zone. As mentioned above, Da Nang FC has the advantage of playing at their home stadium and in front of their home fans. Furthermore, Coach Truong Viet Hoang possesses a squad with depth and quality, including players like Anh Tuan, Quang Hung, Duy Cuong, Huu Dung, Minh Quang, Hong Son… at least some of whom have played for the Vietnam U23 national team. However, looking at how Quang Nam FC, even playing at the "fiery" Thien Truong stadium, still caused many difficulties for the reigning champions Nam Dinh in the previous round, it can be predicted that this will not be an easy match for Da Nang FC.
Also in this third round, the V-League witnessed the "Nghe Tinh derby" between the home team SLNA and Ha Tinh FC. SLNA is currently ranked 12th out of 14 teams with only 1 point after the first two rounds, while their "neighbor" Ha Tinh is showing impressive form with two wins. After shocking the reigning champions Nam Dinh in the opening match, coach Nguyen Van Cong's team defeated Da Nang FC 3-1 at Hoa Xuan Stadium in the previous round. This is the result of a strong squad overhaul at the beginning of the season, with Ha Tinh FC parting ways with 10 players and replacing them with new signings who are fast and combative, such as Duy Thuong, Tan Tai, Sy Hoang, Tien Dat… In particular, striker Geovane shone with the first hat-trick of the 2024-2025 V-League season, promising to transform the team's attack.
The nature of the derby will put considerable pressure on SLNA coach Pham Anh Tuan, who has very few options. Limited finances mean the team cannot afford the abundant reinforcements of their rivals, relying mainly on striker Olaha, the talent of goalkeeper Van Viet, and a group of young players striving to gain experience in Vietnam's top league.
In the last match of September 29th at Thong Nhat Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City FC (4 points, ranked 4th) will strive for their first victory against Hanoi FC (3 points, ranked 6th) since joining the V-League in 2017, after 18 encounters in which they have lost 15 and drawn only 3.
Match schedule
September 29th:
17:00: Quang Nam – Da Nang
6 PM: SLNA – Ha Tinh
19:15: Ho Chi Minh City – Hanoi
HAGL remains undefeated.
The highly anticipated early match in Round 3 of the V-League 2024-2025 between HAGL FC and Nam Dinh FC last night (September 28) was not as exciting as expected.
Nam Dinh FC visited Ham Rong Stadium with the return of three former HAGL players: Tuan Anh, Hong Duy, and Van Toan. They also fielded their strongest lineup, including newly naturalized striker Nguyen Xuan Son (Rafaelson). However, against the home team's tight defense and well-executed tactics, Nam Dinh FC players created virtually no clear scoring opportunities throughout the match. Conversely, HAGL had the scoring chances in the first half, with Marciel's header from Minh Vuong's corner kick hitting the crossbar in the 12th minute.
In the 44th minute, Minh Vương had a quick close-range shot, but the ball narrowly missed the target. Ultimately, both teams had to settle for a goalless draw.
With this result, HAGL Club remains undefeated after 3 rounds with 2 wins and 1 draw, accumulating 7 points.
In the late match of the same day, Viettel Sports FC unexpectedly suffered a 0-1 defeat against Binh Dinh FC, who are second to last in the league standings. The only goal of the match was scored by striker Alisson Farias in the 7th minute. Notably, despite playing with a man advantage from the 18th minute after Cao Van Trien of the visiting team received a red card, Viettel Sports FC still struggled to find the back of the net. In the final minutes, the home team continuously pressed Binh Dinh FC, with the most unfortunate opportunity being Wesley's shot hitting the crossbar in the 90+4 minute. With their first win, Binh Dinh FC temporarily escaped the bottom group, while Viettel Sports FC remains with only 4 points after 3 matches.
