People's Artist Kim Cuong, Bach Tuyet, Thanh Nam congratulate HTV's achievements

(NLDO) - Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) accelerates its efforts with improvements and innovations in its approach to the public in 2025.

As the artistic home for the city's artists and writers for many decades, HTV, with its two units, the Arts and Culture Department and the Music Department, has strived in 2024 to create a platform to promote cultural and artistic works to a wide audience, and the quality of each program has been highly appreciated by viewers.

On the morning of February 8th, HTV held a New Year's gathering to express gratitude for the companionship of artists, actors, and singers who have been associated with HTV's activities. A large number of artists from the city joined in celebrating the achievements of 2024 and wished the Arts and Culture Departments and the Music Department continued success.

Mr. Cao Anh Minh - General Director of HTV Ho Chi Minh City - delivered the opening speech.

He acknowledged the contributions of artists and performers who have helped create many cultural and artistic programs that have been highly appreciated by professionals and viewers alike.

"HTV has proposed many ways to reach the public, through stories told from social life, all thanks to the profound delivery and expression of artists. Therefore, the contributions of artists have created a close partnership, bringing widespread influence to HTV's development activities in 2025. I believe that the meaningful partnership between HTV and artists will be enduring, developing and creating many new milestones for the cultural and artistic performance activities of HTV Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to many successes and innovations to serve the audience in Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country," said Mr. Cao Anh Minh.

At the gathering, in addition to the speech by People's Artist Phuong Loan, singer Nguyen Phi Hung, representing the artists, expressed his emotion at the New Year's reunion and thanked HTV for its strong connection and for building a bridge of art to bring artists closer to the public.

Everyone expressed their joy and hope that in 2025, HTV will organize many more new programs, aiming for a new era with great achievements. "I appreciate HTV's efforts, especially considering the intense competition from digital platforms and social media last year. They still organized many meaningful programs, clearly demonstrating their purpose of honoring the value of people's labor in building and enhancing the new achievements of the city in particular and the country in general. They further clarified the meaning of a civilized, modern, and compassionate city through artistic creations broadcast on HTV. Thank you, HTV – a loyal companion of the city's artists," shared People's Artist Kim Cương.

People's Artist Bach Tuyet, journalist Cao Anh Minh, and People's Artist Kim Cuong happily wish each other a successful new year.

According to Meritorious Artist Bao Quoc, not only domestic audiences but also many overseas Vietnamese viewers feel emotional when watching HTV because over the years, the "Golden Bell of Traditional Vietnamese Opera" competition and the "Golden Bell Forever" program have brought many wonderful performances to overseas Vietnamese. "This program creates opportunities to pass on traditional Vietnamese opera singing techniques and acting skills to the younger generation of actors, so overseas Vietnamese audiences really love the 'Golden Bell of Traditional Vietnamese Opera'," said Meritorious Artist Bao Quoc.

People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi, Meritorious Artist Vu Luan, People's Artist Phuong Loan, and Meritorious Artist Kim Phuong enthusiastically wished each other a Happy New Year.

He believes that it is the collective efforts of HTV's staff and employees, especially the editors of the Arts and Music Department, who, together with the artists, have created the "Golden Bell of Traditional Vietnamese Music" brand over the past 19 years.

The artists attending the meeting also hoped that in 2025, HTV Ho Chi Minh City would more strongly promote cultural and artistic programs on multiple platforms in addition to broadcasting on the station's main channels; and at the same time, create more new, attractive, and high-quality programs featuring artists.
