Designer Thanh Huong Bui conquers Shanghai Fashion Week SS26 with “Manifeste”

On the afternoon of October 13, designer Thanh Huong Bui brought the collection " Manifeste " to the Shanghai Fashion Week SS26 catwalk, marking the brand's first mark on the Asian catwalk.

Thanh Huong Bui impressed Chinese and international audiences with her luxurious and classy outfits in a colorful performance.

Manifesto is not only a fashion collection, but also an emotional artistic manifesto, taking viewers on a journey to discover the beauty of Vietnam through the flow of time. It is a story about the revival of traditional values, from rustic origins to a bright future,” said Thanh Huong Bui.

Still maintaining a delicate creative style through each outfit, the designer has cleverly placed traditional Vietnamese folk values ​​in the language of modern fashion and techniques in the collection.

Opening Manifeste is Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 Le Hoang Phuong with an impressive design, inspired by the art of bamboo combined with traditional paper making, along with 3D form construction, beaded flowers and meticulous gold plating. The outfit is imbued with Vietnamese spirit but still luxurious and sophisticated.

Thanh Huong Bui said she used yellow, red and black as the main colors for the collection not only to portray the elegance of women but also to symbolize prosperity, enthusiasm and cultural depth reaching international levels.

“Every elaborate detail on each costume is like an affirmation of the ability to crystallize between tradition and modern spirit, the meticulousness and patience of the craftsmen, is the way they have brought the value of artistic labor to a new level,” Thanh Huong Bui shared.

Notably, the outfit with the highlight being the Vietnamese ao dai on a lacquer painting background in the collection attracted strong attention from the audience at Shanghai Fashion Week SS26.

The design is a clever combination of the ancient women's yếm (traditional Vietnamese dress) and the modern yet classic ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress), attracting fashionistas. In addition, the conical hat is a particularly delicate touch, making a strong impression on the appearance of the Vietnamese designer and brand on the international stage.

In addition, Thanh Huong Bui's collection this time also has unique outfits inspired by Vietnamese bamboo and hand-spinning techniques that attract the viewer's eyes.

Runner-up Hoang Thuy played the role of vedette of the show. She wore an outfit inspired by the theme of the collection - " Manifeste. " Hoang Thuy revealed that she had to stand for an hour to have her body covered in gold, before wearing the outfit designed without rules on elastic zinc form with hundreds of delicately hand-cut 3D flowers.

After the show introducing the collection to fashionistas at Shanghai Fashion Week SS26, Thanh Huong Bui said that she and her team are trying to develop inspiration from fashionistas with a stylish yet luxurious and classy style in major fashion capitals after Shanghai Fashion Week SS26.
