Through investigation, not only in Bai Sau area but also in Phuoc Hai area and some other places, similar blue wave situation appeared.
The unusual change in color of the sea waves has made some tourists worried, while others are curious about this phenomenon.
Explaining this, the leader of the Center for Culture - Information - Sports and Tourism of Vung Tau ward said this is a normal phenomenon that happens every year.
Specifically, according to this leader, green waves are caused by strong growth of seaweed, creating a moss-green water phenomenon or "algae bloom".
This phenomenon lasts for a few days, after which the sea water will return to normal.
This leader said that the blue waves do not affect the health of swimmers. Therefore, tourists do not need to worry too much.
According to records on the afternoon of October 25, there were quite a lot of tourists, local people were still swimming and having fun as usual.
The lifeguards are still on duty to ensure the safety of visitors playing and swimming in the sea. They also explain to visitors if they have questions about the change in the color of the sea water.
