Hau Giang is an agricultural province, which presents great potential for the district to develop a diverse range of agricultural products and traditional crafts under the OCOP program, thereby bringing high economic value to local people.
Recognizing this, the Provincial Rural Development Coordination Office has implemented numerous activities to develop OCOP products, including surveying and evaluating the potential of local products to select those with the potential to be developed into OCOP products, thereby facilitating product distribution and increasing the value of agricultural products.
Branding OCOP products not only enhances product value but also builds consumer trust and confidence. OCOP products from Hau Giang, such as ginger jam, fish sauce, dried fruits, and honey, have been warmly received in many markets. This not only increases people's income but also creates new jobs, contributing to poverty reduction and sustainable rural development.
Thanks to the continuous efforts of the Provincial New Rural Development Coordination Office, the OCOP program has become one of the important solutions to improve the economic conditions of people in rural areas.
