The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has just issued a statement announcing that, at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, Mr. Zhao Leji, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, is leading a high-level delegation of the Chinese Party and State on an official visit to Vietnam.

Mr. Zhao Leji will attend the 80th anniversary celebration of the August Revolution and Vietnam's National Day on September 2nd and co-chair the first session of the Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China from August 31st to September 2nd.

At a press conference on August 22nd regarding the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang stated that the celebration is not only significant for Vietnam but also holds immense importance for progressive people around the world.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised the competent authorities to invite international guests. Six high-level delegations have confirmed their attendance at the commemoration, including China, and several delegations are expected to conduct bilateral activities. In addition, more than 20 delegations from political parties and eight delegations from the Ministries of Defense of various countries have confirmed their attendance.
