The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has just issued a press release stating that, at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, Mr. Trieu Lac Te, member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, led a high-ranking delegation of the Chinese Party and State to pay an official visit to Vietnam.

Mr. Trieu Lac Te will attend the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam's National Day on September 2 and co-chair the first meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the National People's Congress of China from August 31 to September 2.

At a press conference on August 22 about the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang said that the anniversary is not only meaningful to Vietnam but also has great significance to progressive people around the world.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised the competent authorities to invite international guests. Six high-level delegations have confirmed their attendance at the celebration, including China, and it is expected that some delegations will conduct bilateral activities. In addition, more than 20 political party delegations and eight defense ministry delegations from various countries have confirmed their attendance.
