The Wall Street Journal released the latest poll results on October 23, showing that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump leads Democratic rival Kamala Harris by 2 percentage points in the poll's approval rating. The results show that the Republican presidential candidate has a slight lead within the poll's margin of error. In the latest poll, 42% of voters said that Ms. Harris is a good vice president, the lowest level since July. In contrast, Mr. Trump's performance as president was approved by 52% of respondents. The Wall Street Journal suggested a number of factors that could tip the balance in favor of one of the two presidential candidates. Young men, who tend to side with Mr. Trump, may not be as willing to go to the polls as young women, who are more likely to support Ms. Harris. Another factor to consider is that some battleground states, including Michigan, Wisconsin and Nevada, allow registration on Election Day, November 5. Such voters are not reflected in the poll, the Wall Street Journal reported. The Wall Street Journal surveyed 1,500 voters from October 19 to 22. According to the Wall Street Journal , Americans see Trump as the better candidate to manage the US economy , although the former president is seen as more extreme and dangerous for the country than Harris. Both candidates have criticized their opponent as too extreme to be president. Harris has a strong lead on abortion, an issue that many see as a key Democratic advantage. According to the latest poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports and released on October 25, Trump leads his opponent by 2 percentage points. The poll was conducted from October 20 to 23 with more than 3,400 Americans participating. The poll results show that if the election were held today, 49% of respondents would vote for Mr. Trump, while 47% would vote for Ms. Harris. 2% of respondents said they would vote for some other presidential candidate and 3% were undecided. The race for the White House is still very unpredictable because the polls still have a margin of error, meaning that typical inaccuracies in the voting can change the result. The campaigns of the two candidates are at a climax when both are focusing their efforts to win voters in the battleground states. Currently, both candidates are closely chasing each other in the polls ahead of the election. According to experts, the states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin will be the battlegrounds that decide the election result. Battleground states will be crucial in determining which candidate reaches the crucial 270 electoral votes in early November.
