Previously, Thanh Nien Newspaper reported on the controversies surrounding the high school diploma of Mr. Vuong Tan Viet (Venerable Thich Chan Quang).
Specifically, on August 7th, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training sent a document to the Government's Religious Affairs Committee stating the following: Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's name was not on the list of candidates and the list of scores for the 1989 high school supplementary education graduation exam of the Department of Education and Training, nor was his name on the list of recipients of high school supplementary education diplomas from the June 6th, 1989 course of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.
On August 13th, in response to Thanh Nien Newspaper, a representative from the Ministry of Education and Training stated that the initial verification results showed that the suspicion regarding the validity of Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's high school diploma was well-founded. However, the Ministry of Education and Training still needs to continue coordinating with relevant authorities and security agencies to investigate and clarify other important information.
