Truong Hai ( THACO AUTO) recently added a special edition to its Peugeot 408 lineup, called the 408 Legend Edition. This is a limited edition developed specifically for this C-segment SUV Coupe, with only 215 units produced to commemorate the 215th anniversary of the French automaker (founded in 1810).
Notably, this version is exclusively distributed in the Vietnamese market. The 408 Legend Edition options are available on all three existing versions: Allure, Premium, and GT. Accordingly, THACO AUTO will produce them based on customer orders.

Compared to the regular version, the 408 Legend Edition cars have several distinctive features that enhance uniqueness and personalization, such as a numbered plaque on the trunk lid (numbered from 1 to 215, customers can choose their preferred number), and an official certificate of authenticity included with the purchase.
Additionally, the 408 Legend Edition options are only available in a special Selenium Grey paint color. The interior is distinguished by details such as tan Nappa leather upholstery, and headrests featuring the brand's classic lion stepping on an arrow logo, laser-engraved.
The Peugeot 408 Legend Edition retains its sporty coupe-SUV design, developed on the EMP2 platform shared with the Peugeot 308 and 508. The car is distinguished by its LED headlights shaped like lion's fangs and three claws, and a vertical slat grille. The top-of-the-line version features matrix projector LED headlights and 20-inch wheels. Meanwhile, the two lower versions use smaller 18-inch LED headlights and wheels.
The cabin space retains the brand's signature design thanks to the Peugeot New i-cockpit design language. The center console features a flat design, a compact and responsive steering wheel, and a central touchscreen angled towards the driver. Lower trims are equipped with a digital instrument panel and a 10-inch central touchscreen. The top-of-the-line GT model boasts two central screens, an integrated 10-speaker Focal sound system, and a 360-degree camera. The front seats also include a massage function.
All three versions of the Peugeot 408 use a 1.6 Turbo Puretech gasoline engine with a maximum power of 218 horsepower and a maximum torque of 300 Nm. Compared to other C-segment SUVs and crossovers currently available in the Vietnamese market, the Peugeot 408 boasts impressive engine power. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds.
According to the distributor, the three 408 Legend Edition options – 408 Legend Allure, 408 Legend Premium, and 408 Legend GT – are priced at 1.039 billion, 1.139 billion, and 1.289 billion VND respectively in Vietnam. This represents an increase of 20 million VND per option compared to the corresponding standard versions.
