Peugeot 408 Legend Edition launched in Vietnam market, price from 1.039 billion VND

The French car company only launched 215 Peugeot 408 Legend Edition cars on the market to celebrate the brand's 215th anniversary, all of which are exclusively distributed in Vietnam.

Truong Hai ( THACO AUTO) recently added a special version to the Peugeot 408 "play car" line, called 408 Legend Edition. This is a version developed specifically for this C-size Coupe SUV with a limited quantity of exactly 215 units, to celebrate the 215th anniversary of the formation and development of the "French lion" car company (founded in 1810).

Notably, this version is only distributed in the Vietnamese market. The 408 Legend Edition options appear on all 3 existing versions, including Allure, Premium and GT. Accordingly, THACO AUTO will produce based on orders from users.

Compared to the regular version, the 408 Legend Edition cars have some differences in identification, increasing uniqueness and personalization, such as the number plate attached to the trunk door (ordered from 1 to 215, customers have the right to choose the number according to their preferences), or the genuine certificate that comes with the car when purchasing.

Additionally, the 408 Legend Edition options are available only in a special Selenium Grey paint. The interior is distinguished by cowhide Nappa leather upholstery, and the headrests feature laser-debossed lion stepping on arrow logos.

Peugeot 408 Legend Edition still retains the sporty SUV-coupe design, developed based on the EMP2 chassis shared with Peugeot 308 and 508. The car stands out with a fang-shaped LED light system and 3 lion claws, and a vertical grille. The highest-end version is equipped with matrix lens LED headlights, along with 20-inch wheels. Meanwhile, the two lower versions use LED reflectors and smaller, 18-inch wheels.

The cabin space still bears the brand's mark thanks to the Peugeot New i-cockpit language. The central control area is flat, the steering wheel is compact and flexible, and the central touch screen is oriented towards the driver. The lower versions are equipped with a digital dashboard, a 10-inch central touch screen. The highest-end GT version has 2 central screens, integrated with a 10-speaker Focal sound system and a 360-degree camera. The front seats have an additional massage function.

All 3 versions of Peugeot 408 use a 1.6 Turbo Puretech gasoline engine with a maximum capacity of 218 horsepower and a maximum torque of 300 Nm. Compared to other C-size SUVs and crossovers currently distributed in the Vietnamese market, Peugeot 408 has quite outstanding engine power. This engine is combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, helping the car accelerate from 0 - 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds.

According to the distributor's announcement, the three 408 Legend Edition options including 408 Legend Allure, 408 Legend Premium and 408 Legend GT are priced at 1.039 billion, 1.139 billion and 1.289 billion VND respectively in Vietnam. That is an increase of 20 million VND for each option compared to the corresponding regular versions.
