After two days of urgent, serious and responsible work, on December 4, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Gia Lai province, term 2025-2030, was a great success, affirming the core role of the front in the political system and the great national unity movement.
Speaking at the Congress, comrade Thai Dai Ngoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee emphasized: "This is a political event of important significance, continuing to affirm and promote the role of the Fatherland Front in the political system; consolidating and strengthening the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups in the cause of building Gia Lai province to develop rapidly and sustainably in the new era".
He highly appreciated the positive contributions of the Fatherland Front and its member organizations in effectively implementing political tasks, making important contributions to socio-economic development achievements, ensuring national defense and security, and building a clean and strong Party and political system.
Many typical movements have been effectively implemented, notably the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; the movement "Changing the thinking and working methods of ethnic minorities" has contributed to changing production and living mindsets, gradually eliminating backward customs, improving the material and spiritual life of the people. In addition, the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind" and the program " Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses " have received strong response, creating momentum for sustainable poverty reduction.
In particular, in the context of natural disasters and floods causing serious damage in many localities, the Provincial Fatherland Front has promptly called for and mobilized support from organizations and individuals inside and outside the province. According to preliminary statistics, the total amount of money and goods donated so far has exceeded 200 billion VND, contributing to helping people overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.
At the Congress, delegates unanimously approved the Political Report, identifying the general direction and goals for the coming term as follows: Enhancing the core political role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; promoting cultural identity and the strength of great national unity; arousing the will of self-reliance, self-strengthening, and development aspirations, building Gia Lai province into a fairly developed locality of the country.
The Congress democratically elected 134 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province, term I, 2025-2030, ensuring exemplary, representative and practicality; at the same time, elected a delegation of 18 people to attend the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the term 2026-2030.
At the first conference of the Gia Lai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term I, the Standing Committee of 9 members was elected. Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the 2024-2029 term, held the position of Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term I, term 2025-2030.
In his closing speech at the Congress, comrade Nguyen Ngoc Luong affirmed: “The Congress has crystallized the wisdom, enthusiasm and responsibility of the entire Front system in the province. Immediately after the Congress, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels will quickly disseminate, thoroughly grasp and put the Congress Resolution into practice.”
