Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan said that the current situation of recruiting human resources in this field is facing many difficulties, with both quantity and quality decreasing.

On August 25, in Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development held a "Conference on training and developing human resources for agriculture and rural development in the Central and Central Highlands regions to serve sustainable agricultural and rural development".

Speaking at the conference, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan said that training and developing human resources for agriculture and rural development is extremely important. However, the reality of recruiting human resources in this field is facing many difficulties, with both quantity and quality decreasing.

Minister Le Minh Hoan said: "We are always concerned about human resources in rural agriculture. Units join forces to have a new approach, to see many new and more creative perspectives. Everything starts with new ideas, new approaches for sustainable development".

From there, Minister Le Minh Hoan directed that, in order to promote the potential and advantages of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in the Central and Central Highlands regions, the development of agricultural and rural human resources must be associated with the implementation of tasks in the Politburo 's Resolutions on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security of the region.

Training and developing human resources in the agricultural sector to build a commodity agricultural production, at the same time developing agriculture based on local advantages, in a modern direction with high productivity, quality, efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness. Must be associated with promoting the research process, transferring and applying science and technology in production. Especially approaching the application of high technology, digital transformation and linking the value chain from production, purchasing, processing and commercializing products.

Training and developing human resources with focus and key points, focusing on developing and building a team of leading experts; promoting and improving the quality of training, fostering and innovating policies and recruitment mechanisms.
