The patient was admitted to the emergency room with a tumor in her right breast that was ulcerated and bleeding profusely. After consultation and assessment of the critical condition, doctors at Cho Ray Hospital performed surgery to remove the tumor, because if delayed, the patient was at high risk of septic shock, blood loss and death.

After 2 days of surgery, the patient was awake, the incision was dry, and the pain was much less than before the surgery. According to Dr. Pham Ngoc Anh Chi, Breast Unit, Oncology Center, Cho Ray Hospital, if an abnormal mass is detected in the breast, people should go to a reputable medical facility for examination and treatment, and should not wait until the tumor grows too large before intervening.
