Buon Kuop Hydropower Company said that the unit has just coordinated with units and localities in the downstream areas of Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces to disseminate the mechanism for coordinating the operation and regulation of Buon Tua Srah hydropower reservoir in 2023.
The plan aims to specify the requirements for information provision, notification, reporting, and coordination between relevant parties in disaster prevention and search and rescue work at hydroelectric reservoirs, in compliance with the Inter-reservoir Operation Procedures on the Serepok River Basin issued by the Prime Minister and other relevant regulations; regulations on data provision methods, monitoring regimes, flood season forecasts, daily notification work; coordination plan in disaster prevention at 3 hydroelectric reservoirs: Buôn Tua Srah, Buôn Kuốp and Serepok 3.

The company has also informed the authorities and people about flood warning stations, flood maps, and evacuation points to avoid flooding in downstream areas; at the same time, recommended that local authorities have solutions to encourage people not to cultivate or raise aquatic products in flood escape corridors to minimize damage during the rainy and flood season.
Buon Kuop Hydropower Company is managing and operating 3 plants on the Serepok River basin, with a total installed capacity of 586MW, including Buon Kuop Hydropower Plant, Buon Tua Srah Hydropower Plant and Serepok 3 Hydropower Plant.
