Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Mah Tiep: Phu Thien needs to support people to stabilize their lives after the storm.

Accordingly, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Mah Tiep inspected the safety of the reservoir at the Ayun Ha Irrigation Project; listened to representatives of Phu Thien commune leaders report on the damage and support work for people to overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 13.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Phu Thien commune, the circulation of storm No. 13 caused heavy rain and strong winds in the commune; knocked down trees, crops, and blew off the roofs of many houses.

Initial statistics show that in the commune, 15 houses had their roofs blown off, 1 prefabricated house completely collapsed, with total damage of about 750 million VND. In addition, 100 internal roads were eroded and completely damaged with total damage of about 1.5 billion VND; Ia Sol embankment collapsed 20 meters.

Regarding production, the aquaculture area of the people was affected by about 40,000 m²; 60 hectares of rice fields in Ia Ptau village were flooded, with about 80% damage.

Party committees, authorities, functional forces and people have been actively implementing solutions to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 13.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Mah Tiep suggested that Phu Thien commune needs to focus on mobilizing the participation of all levels, sectors and armed forces to support people to quickly stabilize their lives.

At the same time, effectively implement environmental sanitation activities at some flooded areas to limit the spread of disease and protect public health.
