Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha: Long Thanh Airport's second runway must be completed on time

On the morning of September 7th, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha led a government delegation on a surprise inspection of the construction site of the Long Thanh International Airport Project - Phase 1, one of the country's key projects of monumental scale.

The delegation directly inspected the construction progress at two key items: the second runway construction package and the passenger terminal. Given the current construction situation, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) and the contractors to focus intensely and accelerate progress, ensuring the project is essentially completed before December 19, 2025, as directed by the Prime Minister. Despite starting later, the second runway must still be completed on schedule.
