Phuong Duc evaluates socio-economic development results in 2025

HNP - On December 9, the People's Council of Phuong Duc commune held the third session - the regular session at the end of 2025, to evaluate the results of implementing the tasks of socio-economic development, national defense and security in 2025; at the same time, discuss, consider and resolve a number of important contents under its authority.

According to the Report of the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Phuong Duc commune at the meeting, inheriting the results of the activities of the Standing Committee of the People's Council of the 5 old communes, immediately after its establishment, the People's Council of Phuong Duc commune focused on perfecting the organizational apparatus, building and promulgating working regulations, assigning tasks, and at the same time promulgating important resolutions on socio-economic development, creating a solid foundation, ensuring the activities of the People's Council of the commune take place effectively, efficiently and smoothly.

2025 is the first year that the commune implements the two-level government model, in a context of many difficulties and challenges. However, the locality has proactively and synchronously deployed tasks according to the City's requirements in the context of high demands on administrative reform, focusing on the field of digital transformation and improving the quality of service to the people.

The report at the meeting showed that the commune's economy continued to grow well, with a total product value of VND 8,410 billion, an increase of 9.97% over the same period in 2024. The economic structure shifted in the right direction, in which trade - services and industry - handicrafts accounted for the majority. The commune focused on implementing two breakthroughs: investing in infrastructure according to the plan to create momentum for socio-economic development; building Phuong Duc into a leading model in digital transformation, developing information technology infrastructure to serve the local socio-economy.

The commune has approximately 300 businesses and over 5,000 individual business households. The commune focuses on promoting e-commerce development through platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. By 2025, total revenue from e-commerce is estimated to reach 450 billion VND, accounting for 5.3% of the commune's GRDP. New economic models, OCOP products, and local specialty services continue to develop, with the value of commercial and service production expected to reach 3,100 billion VND, and an estimated average growth rate of 11.14%.

Administrative reform has had many positive changes, with many initiatives such as the model "No appointment, no writing on Thursday" at the Commune Public Administration Service Point, reducing the time to handle 3 administrative procedures applying the model from 8 hours to 2 hours; increasing the support force at the Public Administration Service Point to declare and enter records for citizens to reduce waiting time and pressure on one-stop staff. Thereby, 97% of people are satisfied with the service of the Commune People's Committee. The rate of records returned before the due date and on time reached 99.8%.

At the same time, the commune has paid attention to and invested in cultural and social activities, the cultural, artistic, physical training and sports movements have developed strongly; 94.5% of households have achieved the title of "Cultural Family". Education has maintained high quality at all levels, health care and medical examination and treatment for the people have been effectively implemented, and social security policies have been ensured. Land, traffic, irrigation and environmental management have been effectively implemented; political security, social order and safety have been stable, and national defense has been maintained.

The meeting devoted considerable time to discussions among delegates, focusing on raising issues affecting people's lives at the grassroots level. During the meeting, the leaders of Phuong Duc Commune People's Committee and relevant departments responded to and clarified opinions and recommendations within their authority, and compiled and submitted proposals for higher-level authorities to consider and resolve.

Speaking at the closing session, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Phuong Duc Commune Le Van Binh highly appreciated the serious and responsible working spirit of the delegates. The discussion opinions were closely related to reality, contributing to perfecting the reports and resolutions presented at the session. He requested the entire political system to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness and creativity; concretizing the goals, targets and solutions into the work program right from the beginning of the year, actively contributing to the successful completion of the socio-economic development goals and targets in 2026 and creating a premise for the successful implementation of the socio-economic development plan of the commune for the period 2026 - 2030.
