PVFCCo – Phu My officially launches Phu My DAP fertilizer, expanding its product portfolio and supplying high-quality fertilizers to the market.

PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – stock code DPM, producer and distributor of Phu My fertilizers) officially announced the successful production and market launch of Phu My DAP fertilizer, marking a significant step in its strategy to expand its portfolio of high-quality fertilizers and proactively secure a supply source for Vietnamese agriculture .

The Phu My NPK plant – the "heart" of the Phu My DAP production line – is a state-of-the-art chemical plant, and currently the only one in Vietnam capable of producing DAP, affirming PVFCCo's mastery of technology and its pioneering position in the fertilizer industry. One of the most outstanding and distinctive advantages of Phu My DAP is its very low cadmium (Cd) content. According to the analysis results of the first production batch, the cadmium content was approximately 0.25 ppm, which is 50 times lower than the Vietnamese standard. This is a strong commitment from Phu My to protecting soil health, limiting heavy metal residues, creating safe agricultural products, and meeting stringent export standards, in line with the global trend of sustainable agriculture.

Special granulation technology combined with pure raw materials allows the fertilizer granules to dissolve quickly and completely under sufficient moisture conditions, along with a high nutrient content (46% effective P₂O₅ and 18% total nitrogen). Phu My DAP helps plants absorb nutrients quickly, develop strong root systems, stimulate flower bud formation, increase yield, and improve the quality of agricultural products.

The product has a natural, undyed color, uniform size, loose granules, and does not clump together; the high-quality BOPP packaging is moisture-resistant and durable, suitable for transportation and storage conditions in Vietnam. All production and quality control processes strictly adhere to Phu My standards, ensuring consistency before distribution.

Starting in early December 2025, Phu My will release approximately 3,500 tons of Phu My DAP fertilizer to the market, prioritizing supply to the Southern and Central-Western Highlands regions, where demand is high and cadmium residue in soil and water is a concern for farmers and relevant agencies. With its higher quality and safer product, Phu My DAP is expected to contribute to minimizing the risk of cadmium residue and support farmers in transitioning to safe and sustainable farming practices.

Phu My representative said that the successful production of Phu My DAP is of strategic significance in the context of the domestic market still being heavily dependent on imported sources. Proactive domestic production helps stabilize supply, reduce logistics costs, improve market regulation and help farmers access high-quality products at reasonable prices.
