Once the contestant with the highest audience votes, Quang Anh surprised everyone when he burst into tears during the live show night 3 of the Talent Rendezvous program. After the carefully invested performances that clearly marked his artistic personality, the male singer's emotions confused many audiences and judges.
In the competition night with the theme Last Chance , Quang Anh chose the song "Dang em lua la" (Luong Bang Quang) to perform. Instead of his usual bright smile, the male singer appeared with a tense look, causing judge Ho Ngoc Ha to ask: "Where is Quang Anh's bright smile today?".
Explaining the difference, Quang Anh shared: "This is my last chance at the show. I have prepared very carefully for the performance with 2 staging options. But close to the competition date, both options were rejected by the Organizing Committee, leaving me unable to react. If I had been informed earlier, I could have changed to a more suitable song."
In urgent circumstances, the male singer was forced to perform the song alone, without the support of the planned staging. "The contestants participating in the program have to take care of everything themselves - from costumes, staging to music arrangement. When you have prepared very carefully but cannot perform, it is really hard to avoid feeling frustrated," Quang Anh expressed.
This affected Quang Anh's mentality and resulted in a performance that did not meet expectations. Musician Huy Tuan expressed his sympathy: "I appreciate your courage in daring to change to try, but honestly, I still like the way Quang Anh did in the previous rounds, full of charm, knowing himself and knowing the enemy."
Truc Nhan also regretted: "If you had decided this was the last night, you would have gone all the way to work." Ho Ngoc Ha said: "Last chance does not mean the last road. The important thing is to stay positive. You were voted Top 1 thanks to that smile."
Although his solo performance did not achieve the desired effect, Quang Anh was able to regain his form in the confrontation with contestant Thanh Thuy through the song " Trua Vang" . His comfort and confidence returned on stage.
However, Quang Anh and Mai Chi had to stop after live show 3 even though the male singer topped the audience vote with 158,852 votes - an impressive number proving the strong attraction from fans.
Not hiding his regret, Quang Anh remained calm: "I think I'm more suited to another music scene. The important thing is that I've given it my all."
Musician Huy Tuan shared on the sidelines with VietNamNet reporter that, with his experience, he believes Quang Anh will soon be successful after leaving the competition.
