Specifically, the price of pepper in Dak Lak is being purchased at 147,500 VND/kg, a slight increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. The price of pepper in Chu Se (Gia Lai) is being purchased at 146,500 VND/kg, also a slight increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. The price of pepper in Dak Nong today is recorded at 147,500 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices today remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the price is currently at 147,000 VND/kg, stable from yesterday; in Binh Phuoc, the price of pepper today is also at 147,000 VND/kg.

In September 2024, the export price of Vietnamese pepper reached a record high of US$6,239 per ton. During that month, Vietnam exported 20,000 tons of pepper, earning a total of US$125 million. Compared to the previous year, export volume increased by 10.4% and value increased by 84.9%.
The average price of exported pepper in September was $6,239 per ton, 67.5% higher than the same month last year and the highest price in many years. According to the Import-Export Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, pepper prices are likely to remain high for a short period due to scarce supply.
However, with Brazil and Indonesia beginning their harvest season and global demand not increasing sharply, pepper prices are expected to rise only slightly in the near future.
Today's world pepper prices
According to the International Pepper Association (IPC), at the close of the most recent trading session, the IPC listed Indonesian Lampung black pepper at US$6,782/ton (down 0.64%) and Muntok white pepper at US$9,068/ton (down 1.60%).
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper was at USD 6,850/ton. The price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper remained stable at USD 8,900/ton; the price of this country's ASTA white pepper reached USD 11,400/ton.
Vietnamese black pepper prices remained stable at high levels today, trading at US$6,800/ton for the 500 g/l variety; US$7,100/ton for the 550 g/l variety; and white pepper at US$10,150/ton.
