The National Assembly approved Mr. Ho Quoc Dung to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister.

On October 25, at the 10th session, the 15th National Assembly approved the appointment of Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, member of the 13th Party Central Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Ho Quoc Dung was born on August 15, 1966, in Gia Lai province and holds a Master's degree in Law. He is a member of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and has held many key leadership positions in Binh Dinh and Gia Lai provinces before being approved by the National Assembly as Deputy Prime Minister.

He began his career working in Binh Dinh province. In June 2002, he became Deputy Chief of the Office of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Office of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee of Binh Dinh province. In May 2004, he held the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Cat district.

In September 2005, he was appointed Deputy Chief of the Office, and later Chief of the Office of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee. In August 2007, he became a Provincial Party Committee member and a member of the Standing Committee of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee; in August 2008, he was assigned to be the Deputy Head of the specialized delegation of the 12th National Assembly of Binh Dinh province.

From May 2009, he served as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; in June 2011, he became the Standing Vice Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee. In November 2014, he became Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee.

In October 2020, he was elected Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; in January 2021, he became a member of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. In June 2025, he assumed the position of Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly (October 25, 2025), the National Assembly approved the appointment of Mr. Ho Quoc Dung as Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.
