Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong visits units closing their accounts for the end of 2024.

This evening, December 31st, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong visited, encouraged, and presented flowers to congratulate the units responsible for the final settlement and closing of the 2024 state budget, including: the State Bank of Vietnam branch in Quang Tri province and the Provincial State Treasury.

In 2024, the State Bank of Vietnam's Quang Tri Provincial Branch focused on directing credit institutions in the area to focus lending on production and business sectors, priority sectors, and economic growth drivers in accordance with the Government's policies; ensuring safe and effective credit operations. As of December 26th, the unit had basically completed its targets according to plan. Capital mobilization increased by 12%, reaching over 40,500 billion VND; total outstanding loans across the sector reached nearly 56,000 billion VND. Non-performing loans remained at a safe level.

The digital transformation and cashless payment system have been implemented vigorously; the Ministry of Public Security's Vneid citizen data software has been applied; and biometrics have been deployed in electronic transactions for citizens. The goal is for all banking transactions to adopt biometrics by 2025.

According to the report from the Provincial State Treasury, as of now, over 74% of regular budget expenditures have been disbursed, and it is expected to reach 100% by January 2025. The application of information technology to the State Treasury's operational activities meets professional and operational requirements.

In addition, the State Treasury has requested all units in the system to closely adhere to programs and plans and promptly address any shortcomings and limitations; ensuring smooth and stable budget disbursement.

During his visits, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong acknowledged and commended the efforts and high determination of all officials, civil servants, and employees of the State Bank of Vietnam's Quang Tri branch and the Provincial State Treasury in fulfilling their duties. He emphasized that the banking sector's activities in 2024 contributed to controlling inflation, maintaining macroeconomic stability, supporting the recovery and socio-economic development of the province; and promptly guided commercial banks to adapt to market developments.

The unit is requested to continue overcoming difficulties in 2025, effectively directing credit institutions to strive to achieve targets, ensuring safe and effective credit growth; effectively implementing monetary, credit, and financial mechanisms and policies to support and alleviate difficulties for people and businesses, promoting the recovery and development of production and business; and working alongside local authorities to effectively carry out social welfare work.

Providing information on some key aspects of the province's socio-economic situation in 2024, especially the key projects implemented in the province in the past period, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong requested the Provincial State Treasury to continue proactively implementing professional tasks; effectively coordinate with sectors, localities, and units to excellently complete assigned tasks, especially in the phase of streamlining and reorganizing the political system's apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Committee, thereby contributing to increasing sustainable budget revenue for the locality, creating important resources to help the province smoothly implement all socio-economic development tasks.

On the occasion of the New Year, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong sent his best wishes to the officials, civil servants, and employees of the State Bank of Vietnam, Quang Tri branch, and the Provincial State Treasury, wishing them good health and happiness; and encouraging them to continue successfully fulfilling their assigned tasks and making positive contributions to the overall development of the province.
