AI Assistant - Robot ISAAC: Artificial intelligence from online to real life through ICLASS digital classroom
The ICLASS digital classroom is an advanced classroom model designed to personalize the learning experience for each student. In this classroom, each student is equipped with a separate learning device, helping them proactively access knowledge at their own pace and needs. The integrated artificial intelligence (AI) system supports voice adjustment, accurately identifies and corrects pronunciation errors, helping to improve English listening and speaking skills naturally and effectively.
In particular, students' learning progress is monitored and evaluated directly on the system after each lesson, helping teachers promptly grasp each student's ability to adjust appropriate teaching methods.
AI Assistant - Robot ISAAC acts as a classroom assistant, capable of supporting teachers with natural reading from text, directly interacting with students through questions, intelligent responses and organizing group quizzes. In addition, AI Assistant - Robot ISAAC also demonstrates the ability to move safely and communicate friendly, contributing to building a lively and engaging learning environment.
Mr. Pham Nguyen Bao Ngoc, Specialist of the Department ofEducation of Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City, said: “I have tested three ways of asking questions and the AI returned accurate analysis results, pointed out incorrect sounds for improvement and was able to listen to my own speech. That is also part of the goal of applying technology to education that I am researching to apply.”
iSMART Education and a big step forward in integrating AI technology into education
The application of AI in the digital classroom ICLASS and AI Assistant - Robot ISAAC means innovation in teaching methods, while opening up a more comprehensive approach to the goal of equality and personalization in education. Thanks to the intelligent interaction capabilities of these solutions, it has created conditions for each student to access lessons at their own pace and understanding, thereby maximizing their individual learning capacity - something that traditional classrooms with large numbers of students can hardly meet.
At the same time, with the ability to support standardization of teaching content and flexible operation, this robot helps narrow the gap in access to knowledge between regions, especially in places lacking quality teacher resources. More importantly, AI Assistant - Robot ISAAC does not replace teachers, but acts as a technical supporter, helping teachers focus more on inspiring, guiding thinking and developing comprehensive capacity for students. This is the model that combines technology and people - the foundation for a modern, equitable and sustainable classroom.
After applying ISAAC Robot to the classroom, Ms. Dinh Thi Huyen Tran, English teacher at Truong Dinh Primary School, District 12, commented: “The appearance of ISAAC robot makes students very excited. Because robots have always been very famous, however, to be evaluated, interacted with and answered questions directly, students have almost never experienced it before.”
iSMART Education representative Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh - iSMART Business Development Director - shared: "We want to turn AI solutions into a close, friendly tool, helping primary school students approach technology in the most natural way, instead of feeling strange or complicated. In the near future, iSMART Education plans to deploy AI Assistant - Robot ISAAC in schools in the partner system, combined with digital products to complete the learning ecosystem to establish a model of "Comprehensive Smart Classroom".
It can be said that iSMART Education has taken a big step forward in realizing AI through robots and applying it to teaching and learning solutions. This is the first time in Vietnam that an educational enterprise has not only stopped at the EdTech concept but has proactively developed an AI-integrated product - directly serving teaching.
iSMART Education officially launched the ISAAC Robot for the first time last weekend within the framework of the workshop “Application of AI in teaching and learning English for 5th graders” held at Truong Dinh Primary School (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City), with the participation of representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Education and Training of District 12, experts, teachers, parents and students.
The workshop aims to introduce a classroom model integrating artificial intelligence technology into English classes for 5th graders according to the 2018 General Education Program, while creating a space to share, observe and evaluate the feasibility of applying AI in teaching and learning practices.
