The Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House has just launched two new publications to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025). These are research and creative works of historical and cultural value, contributing to spreading patriotism and national pride to a wide readership.
The first publication is "The August Revolution of 1945: The First Great Victory of the Vietnamese Nation in the 20th Century" by Professor, Doctor, and People's Teacher Trinh Nhu and Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Trong Tho. With six chapters, the book portrays the overall domestic and international context, the correct revolutionary line of the Party, and the indomitable strength of the people. The work analyzes the causes, significance, and historical magnitude of the uprising, while also drawing many valuable lessons for research, teaching, and learning today.
Alongside its research offerings, the publishing house also introduced the children's poetry collection "Little Ones Love Their Homeland" by author Cao Mai Trang, illustrated by artist Nhat Anh Pham. With innocent, pure language and vivid imagery, the collection opens up a beautiful picture of the homeland and country through the eyes of a child. The work aims to nurture love for the homeland and cultivate national pride from a young age.

The Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House hopes that these two publications will not only recall the glorious milestones of the nation's history but also inspire and awaken the pride and responsibility of today's generation in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland. Their launch, coinciding with the nationwide preparations for the A80th Anniversary, is also a profound tribute to the heroic past, while simultaneously providing spiritual strength for the nation's new journey.
