Samsung Electronics launched its next-generation smart home at IFA 2025, the world's leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances, as a first step in its plan to bring modular smart home models to the global B2B market.
Samsung's smart home is equipped with AI-powered home appliances, a high-performance HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system, and seamless connectivity through the SmartThings and SmartThings Pro platforms.

The 218-square-meter house, comprising two bedrooms, was erected right next to Samsung's exhibit at IFA 2025. The structure was transported from South Korea to Berlin, Germany, and assembled in just one day. (Source: Koreabizwire).
Upon entering Samsung's Smart Home, visitors will encounter a wall-mounted control panel on the right, displaying the SmartThings 3D Map View interface. This screen shows the real-time operating status of devices throughout the entire house. Users can easily monitor and control devices instantly, as they automatically adapt to their lifestyle and surroundings.

With the 3D map view in SmartThings, users can easily check the status of their home appliances and control them instantly.
Entering and exiting the home is more convenient and secure than ever thanks to smart security cameras and smart door locks. Through connection with the smart door lock, SmartThings detects someone entering the house, automatically turns on the lights, and gently closes the curtains. Meanwhile, the robot vacuum completes its cleaning cycle and returns to its charging station. The air conditioner also automatically adjusts the room temperature to the user's preferred level.

Energy saving is one of the top benefits consumers expect from AI. 66% believe that an AI-integrated home can help them track expenses and save money.
Because all household appliances are connected via the SmartThings platform, managing consumption becomes easy. Through a smartphone, the SmartThings Energy app allows users to instantly view current electricity consumption and estimate total consumption for the month.
The Optimal Scheduling feature allows the washing machine and dishwasher to operate during off-peak hours. Meanwhile, the robot vacuum only charges sufficiently during the day and completes its charging process at night, when electricity is cheaper. Underfloor heating, cooling, and hot water supply are powered by EHS heat pump solutions, custom-designed for the home.
In future modular smart homes, SmartThings Pro can be used for centralized HVAC system management, improving operational efficiency.

With SmartThings Energy, users can schedule and charge their devices at optimal times.
The house also has the ability to "transform" into an entertainment zone. In the multi-purpose room, when Game Mode is activated on the SmartThings app, the ceiling lights will turn off and the curtains will close. The LED lights will synchronize with the visuals and rhythm of the game, while the air conditioner will automatically adjust the temperature to the optimal level for maximum comfort. The result is a vibrant gaming space, transforming the house into a flexible and rich experiential space that goes beyond daily routines.
At the Innovation For All (IFA) 2025 exhibition, Samsung Electronics introduced its vision “AI Home: Future Living, Now”. Samsung's AI Home aims to become a real experience for everyone today – not just a story of the future – and for all people, not just a select few.
Cheolgi Kim (CK), Executive Vice President and Head of the Home Appliances (DA) Business Unit, said: “At Samsung, we are not only envisioning the future of AI; we are also integrating AI into everyday life.”
Samsung's AI Home goes beyond the concept of smart devices, aiming for a home that truly understands you, adapts to your needs, and cares about what matters most. This marks the beginning of a new era – where technology silently supports you to enjoy life more fully.”
Samsung's research shows that 66% of consumers are interested in the idea of an AI-integrated home, with many envisioning simplifying daily chores (44%) and increasing control via phone or voice (45%).
93% of survey participants said they view their home as a sanctuary, and 80% see it as a center for social connection. As families spend more time together, AI Home elevates these bonding moments with features such as health tracking, personalized sleep schedules, and nutrition planning.
Samsung says it plans to commercialize its modular smart home solution globally by partnering with construction companies to expand its AI-integrated housing model.
“We want to make Samsung’s AI Home not just a vision of the future, but a part of everyday life worldwide, ” said Park Chan-woo, Vice President of Samsung’s B2B Solutions Group. “This launch marks Samsung’s biggest step yet into the modular housing sector — a growing industry in Europe as countries seek sustainable and scalable building solutions to replace traditional models.”
