Samsung is ready to support Vietnamese enterprises to participate more deeply in the global supply chain.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan received the Deputy General Director in charge of finance of Samsung Electronics.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan assessed that Samsung Group invested in Vietnam very early, showing its interest in the legal environment and technology development in Vietnam.

Acknowledging the position and role of Samsung - one of the largest foreign investors in Vietnam, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly hopes that the good cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea will support and create momentum to promote Vietnam's development in the coming time.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan welcomed Samsung's activities and projects in Vietnam, which have actively contributed to creating jobs for people, supporting technology transfer and promoting exports, contributing to Vietnam's sustainable economic growth.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly hopes Samsung will continue to expand its activities and investment projects in Vietnam.

With its impressive history of establishment and development, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that Samsung is an inspirational model for domestic Vietnamese enterprises; he hopes that Samsung will continue to expand its activities and investment projects in Vietnam, increase localization in production, technology transfer, training high-quality human resources and support to increase the rate of Vietnamese enterprises participating in the global component supply chain.

Thanking Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan for taking the time to meet, the Deputy General Director in charge of finance of Samsung Electronics briefly reported on Samsung's operations in Vietnam. Accordingly, over the past 17 years, Samsung Vietnam has successfully implemented many high-tech projects, operated 6 manufacturing entities, 1 research and development institute, 1 sales entity, continuously maintained impressive revenue levels, affirming its position as a leading FDI enterprise in Vietnam.

Since 2015, Samsung has cooperated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Department of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities to implement many programs to support Vietnamese enterprises such as: Smart Factory Development Support Project, supporting industry exhibition... Many activities are also being implemented at the National Innovation Center (NIC) under the Ministry of Finance such as: Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) Technology Talent Development Program...

Mr. Park Soon Cheol stated that Samsung's stable growth in Vietnam is the result of the strong support and companionship from the Government, National Assembly, ministries, branches and localities in improving the investment and business environment.

With a suitable investment environment and ecosystem to increase the localization rate in production activities and develop supporting industries, the Deputy General Director in charge of finance of Samsung Electronics affirmed that Samsung will be more active and make more efforts in supporting the capacity improvement of Vietnamese enterprises in the coming time; ready to support Vietnamese enterprises to participate more deeply in the global supply chain.
