Transportation infrastructure stimulates tourism in Khanh Hoa.
On February 12th, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism announced that it had submitted a report on the tourism situation during the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Dragon 2024.
Accordingly, during the five days from February 9th to 13th (i.e., from the 30th of the lunar month to the 4th day of Tet), the total number of visitors to Khanh Hoa for sightseeing and relaxation is estimated at over 630,000. Of these, approximately 190,000 were overnight guests (40,500 international visitors and 150,500 domestic visitors) and nearly 440,000 were sightseeing visitors.

The average occupancy rate of accommodation establishments is approximately 80%. This peak is mainly concentrated from the 2nd to the 5th day of the Lunar New Year, particularly at some hotels in the city center, 4-5 star resorts, and coastal areas.
Notably, Khánh Hòa's tourism revenue during the Lunar New Year holiday is estimated to reach over 877.5 billion VND.
According to assessments, the development of transportation infrastructure contributes to stimulating increased travel by residents and tourists.
At Cam Ranh International Airport, from February 9th to 13th, there were over 300 flights arriving. On average, the airport received about 65 flights per day, including approximately 25 domestic and 40 international flights.
To meet the travel needs of passengers during the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Dragon 2024, in addition to the daily train services, the railway industry is also increasing the number of trains to serve tourists. Accordingly, 8 additional trains will be operated between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi and vice versa.
Leaders of Khanh Hoa province, the Khanh Hoa tourism industry, and Cam Ranh International Airport welcomed the first visitors.
According to the leaders of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, in addition to air and rail transport, this year, since the opening of the Nha Trang - Cam Lam and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressways and the increase in the maximum speed limit from 80km/h to 90km/h, it has facilitated travel for private vehicles, thus leading to an increase in the number of independent tourists.
Besides tourists staying in hotels, visitors to Khanh Hoa also include those visiting relatives combined with tourism, and a relatively large number of people who studied or worked far away and returned home, staying in apartments or with family.

Attracting customers through events.
It is known that during the Lunar New Year holiday, Khanh Hoa province's tourism industry organized many activities and events to attract tourists. Among them, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism coordinated with the Nha Trang branch of Vietnam Airlines to organize the welcoming of the first flight of the 2024 Lunar New Year on February 10th (the first day of the Lunar New Year). At the same time, in collaboration with the Tourism Information Center (Vietnam National Tourism Administration), they officially launched the video clip "Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa: Touching your heart!" featuring stunning scenery that touches the hearts of viewers; the video clip has now garnered over 1 million views.
At the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Spring Flower Festival 2024, held at Yen Phi Park, a dragon several tens of meters long was made from many pots of petunias.
In addition, travel agencies, accommodation establishments, and service providers in Khanh Hoa province have made the best preparations in terms of human resources, actively renovated and upgraded infrastructure, and created beautiful landscapes and green spaces to meet the needs of tourists to the fullest extent.
According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, during the Tet holiday, Khanh Hoa will host many major events for locals and tourists at 2/4 Square. These include a special music, dance, and fashion show "Celebrating the Party - Celebrating the Year of the Dragon" 2024, and a 15-minute low-altitude fireworks display at midnight to welcome the Lunar New Year 2024.
Tourism businesses in Khanh Hoa are organizing many activities to serve tourists during the Tet holiday.
The special cultural and artistic programs celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024 include: Lion and dragon dance performances, a comprehensive performance of traditional opera and folk songs "Khanh Hoa, My Homeland", a music and dance performance "Spring in My Homeland", a performance of the folk opera "The Teacher in My Village", human chess competition, folk games and singing of the "Spring of the Dragon" folk opera, street art performances, photo exhibitions, Tet stalls, etc.
In addition, from January 31st, at the coastal park north of Tran Phu Bridge (Nha Trang City), the Khanh Hoa Department of Industry and Trade will organize the opening ceremony of the Nha Trang Night Market. This activity is in response to the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee's plan to develop the night-time economy, creating more destinations and services for tourists and Nha Trang residents to experience.

Nha Trang Night Market takes place from 5:30 PM to midnight daily (expected to continue until 2025). The night market sells characteristic products, OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, gift items, handicrafts, food, etc., from Khanh Hoa province and other localities nationwide.
During the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024, 4-5 star tourist accommodations and tourist destinations proactively decorated and focused on organizing events and programs such as "Gala Night to Welcome the New Year and Wish Tourists a Happy New Year".
