The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Internal Affairs has just issued a plan to strengthen the monitoring of the payment of salaries and bonuses for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, in order to promptly grasp labor fluctuations and ensure stable labor relations in the city.
The plan is implemented based on the Ministry of Interior 's Official Letter No. 10287/BNV-CTL&BHXH and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee's Official Letter No. 4039/UBND-VX, which require close monitoring of wages, bonuses, and the living conditions of workers during the Tet holiday.
The on-site inspection team included representatives from the Department of Internal Affairs and related agencies such as the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor, the Management Board of Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks, the Management Board of the High-Tech Park, the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance Agency, and the local authorities where the enterprise is located. This coordination among multiple forces aims to ensure an objective, comprehensive assessment and timely resolution of any arising issues.
Through its monitoring activities, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Internal Affairs will proactively understand the actual payment of salaries and bonuses by businesses, thereby advising the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on solutions to ensure the legitimate rights of workers, especially in the context that after restructuring, the city continues to have a large number of businesses in the processing and manufacturing sector, an industry that employs a large workforce and is prone to fluctuations at the end of the year.
