Noi Bai International Airport (NIA) has risen to 79th place, an increase of 17 positions compared to 2024 (in 2024, Noi Bai International Airport was ranked 96th).
Skytrax, a prestigious global aviation rating and ranking organization, has just announced its ranking of the Top 100 best airports in the world for 2025.
Accordingly, Noi Bai International Airport (NIA) has risen to 79th place, an increase of 17 positions compared to 2024 (in 2024, Noi Bai NIA was ranked 96th). In this ranking, Vietnam has two representatives: Noi Bai International Airport and Da Nang International Airport, both belonging to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV).
2024 presented numerous challenges for Noi Bai International Airport as it had to ensure continuous operation while simultaneously carrying out partial closures for the T2 Terminal expansion project.
This is the seventh time that Noi Bai International Airport – a crucial international air gateway for Hanoi – has been honored in Skytrax's prestigious ranking.
Enhancing the application of information technology in flight operations management and implementing the Airport Operations Control Management (A-CDM) model aims to increase operational efficiency, improve on-time performance, and save aircraft fuel.
2024 presented numerous challenges for Noi Bai International Airport as it had to ensure continuous operation while simultaneously carrying out partial closures for the T2 Terminal expansion project. Despite these challenges, the airport and its operating units seized every opportunity to improve service quality: from renovating passenger service areas and organizing cultural and artistic activities at the airport during holidays, to enhancing the application of information technology in flight operations management and implementing the Airport Operations Control Management (A-CDM) model to increase operational efficiency, improve on-time performance, and save aircraft fuel.
The airport and its operating units continue to seize every opportunity to improve service quality: from renovating passenger service spaces to organizing cultural and artistic activities right at the airport during holidays and festivals.
Continuously improve the service attitude of frontline staff serving passengers.
In particular, the implementation of a non-stop toll collection system at all entry and exit lanes of passenger terminals T1 and T2 has contributed to creating a smoother and more convenient experience for passengers. Many convenient services have been added, such as: phone charging stations, free Wi-Fi, children's play areas, and childcare facilities; infrastructure for people with disabilities has been ensured; the service attitude of frontline staff serving passengers has been continuously improved; and the activities of the Committee for Action on Passenger Service Quality at the Airport have been strengthened and enhanced...
Thanks to proactive and coordinated solutions, Noi Bai International Airport ensured absolute safety and security for over 30 million passengers in 2024, while also recording strong growth in international passengers in the first quarter of 2025 with the opening of many international routes connecting Noi Bai and international destinations.

Previously, Noi Bai International Airport had been ranked among the Top 100 best airports in the world six times, in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2024.
The World Airport Awards began in 1999, when Skytrax conducted its first global airport customer satisfaction survey. The awards are considered a quality benchmark for airports worldwide, evaluating customer service and facilities at over 500 airports.
There are no participation fees or any form of payment from an airport (or other third party) to be included in the survey or awards, with the survey and award process conducted entirely by Skytrax. Travelers from around the world participate in the airport customer satisfaction survey to determine the award winners.
