According to the leader of the Foreign Project Capital Management Board of Tuyen Quang province, the investor of this road said that the landslide is tens of meters long on the bank of Lo river, in some places it has eaten into the roadbed. Not only the river bank, the positive slope also has the risk of a large amount of rock and soil sliding down this road section. If it continues to rain or storm No. 11 in the coming days causes impacts, this road will be at risk of further landslides and endanger people and vehicles passing here.

There are landslides that have eaten into the roadbed, so the management unit had to use tarps to cover them to prevent water from eroding and causing further landslides.

National Highway 2 is the main traffic route, connecting the center of Tuyen Quang province to Ha Giang 1 ward, Ha Giang 2 ward and the northern mountainous communes of the province. If landslides continue to occur, traffic will be very difficult, people and vehicles can only travel via the small road on the east bank of Lo river, from km 21 of Vi Xuyen commune, through Linh Ho commune, Phu Linh to Ha Giang 2 ward.

A serious landslide stretched dozens of meters on National Highway 2 from km 295+995 to km 296+200.

Faced with the risk of losing safety on National Highway 2, on the morning of October 4, the Provincial Foreign Project Capital Management Board invited the provincial departments and agencies to inspect and specifically assess the extent of landslides on the road. On that basis, it is assessed that this is damage caused by natural disasters, and will soon report to the Provincial People's Committee and request approval to construct landslide repair works in an emergency situation to ensure traffic safety.
