The project has a scale of 2 units with a total capacity of 480MW and a total investment of 9,220 billion VND. In which, the construction package No. 1XL-HB of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion implemented by the Joint Venture of Truong Son Construction Corporation - Construction Joint Stock Company 47 - Lilama 10 Joint Stock Company is the largest package with a value of nearly 3,200 billion VND (Army Corps 12 - Truong Son Construction Corporation is the leading member of the joint venture).
Since the commencement of construction until now (January 10, 2021), despite facing many difficulties and challenges, having to temporarily stop construction for a long time, up to this point, the progress and quality of the construction items constructed by Army Corps 12 have basically met the requirements of the investor.
Reporting on the content and objectives of responding to the Workers' Month associated with the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene in 2023 by officials and union members of the laborers, Colonel Tran Ngoc Tuan, Director of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Expansion Project Management Board, stated: The unit organizes propaganda to raise awareness for all officials, union members and laborers in the unit about the purpose, meaning and activities of the Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene, continuing to fully and thoroughly disseminate and thoroughly disseminate the provisions of the laws of the State, the Ministry of National Defense , Army Corps 12 and the unit on occupational safety and hygiene, fire and explosion prevention and fighting.
Propaganda and mobilize workers to effectively prevent occupational accidents, fires and explosions caused by electricity, accidents caused by falls from heights, falling objects, and properly operate equipment with strict requirements on occupational safety.... Strengthen the compensation regime, ensure meals and refreshments for workers, especially those working in unusually hot and sunny weather conditions, in harsh and toxic environments. Take care of building new and renovating resting rooms for workers and laborers to improve sleeping conditions, especially on hot days.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Vu Phuc Hau, Party Secretary and Deputy Commander of Army Corps 12, praised the efforts and endeavors of the Hoa Binh - Truong Son Hydropower Project Management Board, the participating construction units and workers in the project implementation over the past time.
At the same time, it is required that units promote their capacity and focus resources on implementing the contents of the Workers' Month, responding to the Action Month on occupational safety and hygiene that has been identified, improving the effectiveness of propaganda work, especially helping cadres, engineers and workers clearly understand the tradition and spirit of victory of the heroic Truong Son Troops.
Organize well the activities to care for and improve the material and spiritual life of union members and workers such as: Organize shuttle buses for workers, maintain the organization of meals and refreshments between shifts; organize visits and give gifts to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances, those who have had work-related accidents and receive monthly allowances.
In particular, pay attention to the income, eating, living and working conditions of workers at the construction site, strengthen democratic dialogue with workers about jobs, salaries, bonuses, and benefits, and build harmonious labor relations within the unit; unit commanders must consider workers as assets and the most valuable capital of the enterprise to give them proper attention, and make workers attached to the unit and the enterprise.
On this occasion, the National Defense Trade Union and Army Corps 12 presented many gifts to the grassroots trade union organizations of the units and to the cadres, union members and workers participating in the construction at the site.
