Coordination in disseminating information about the sea and islands among relevant units has been implemented synchronously and comprehensively across many contents and fields.

In accordance with the work plan, the Party Committee and the Naval Command will organize the conference to review the 5-year implementation of the program for coordinating propaganda on the sea and islands from 2019-2024 on July 19th.
The conference provided an opportunity to comprehensively assess the leadership and guidance in organizing and implementing coordinated propaganda activities on maritime and island issues between the Party Committee and the Naval Command, and the Party Committees of provinces and cities directly under the Central Committee, as well as central agencies and media outlets nationwide. From this, policies and solutions were proposed to further improve the quality of coordinated propaganda on maritime and island issues in the current situation.

Over the years, in strict adherence to the Central Committee Resolutions 8 of the 11th and 13th Congresses on "The Strategy for National Defense in the New Situation," the Central Committee Resolution 4 of the 10th Congress on "Vietnam's Maritime Strategy to 2020," and the Central Committee Resolution 8 of the 12th Congress on "The Strategy for Sustainable Development of Vietnam's Marine Economy to 2030, with a Vision to 2045," and under the direction of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of National Defense , and directly the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, the Party Committee, the Naval Command, and Party committees and commanders at all levels have consistently paid attention to leading, directing, and comprehensively, systematically, and in-depth implementing the contents and solutions of the coordinated program for disseminating information on the sea and islands with the Provincial and City Party Committees directly under the Central Committee and 16 central agencies and press agencies nationwide.
During the period 2019-2024, 63 provinces and cities and 16 agencies and units actively participated, synchronously implementing solutions to carry out the resolutions and guidelines of the Party, and the policies and laws of the State on the sea and islands; issuing many documents to lead and direct the implementation of tasks; many localities established Steering Committees and Campaign Committees for the movements "Fund for Vietnam's Sea and Islands," "Fund for the Homeland's Sea and Islands - For the Frontline of the Fatherland," "Fund for Beloved Truong Sa," etc.

Annually, the Propaganda Departments of Provincial and City Party Committees, agencies, and units play a vital role and fulfill their responsibilities as standing agencies, actively and proactively advising and assisting Party committees in developing and implementing plans to coordinate with the Navy in carrying out specific activities, linked to the political tasks of the locality, agency, or unit.
News agencies and media outlets, in coordination with the Navy, have organized the dissemination of information on numerous events, especially those related to the struggle to protect maritime sovereignty and islands; commemorating traditional days; highlighting outstanding achievements of the Vietnam People's Navy; and activities in defense diplomacy, search and rescue… creating a profound social impact among all segments of the population and overseas Vietnamese, and garnering support from other countries and international organizations in the struggle to protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands. Assessment shows that the coordinated dissemination of information on maritime and island issues between the Party Committee and the Naval Command, the Provincial and City Party Committees under the Central Government, central agencies, and media outlets has been implemented comprehensively and synchronously across many areas and fields.

The focus is on coordinating information and propaganda to raise awareness among all segments of the population and overseas Vietnamese about the position and role of the sea and islands in the cause of national construction and defense; coordinating the organization of delegations to visit and encourage the military and civilians in Truong Sa and the officers and soldiers at the DK-I platform on the southern continental shelf of the Fatherland; coordinating the implementation of cultural and artistic activities, traditional activities, mass mobilization, search and rescue, defense diplomacy, and the implementation of policies supporting the military; combining propaganda on the sea and islands with promoting the attraction of resources and focusing on training, consolidating, and improving the political skills and capabilities of speakers at all levels.
According to the plan, at the conference, the Party Committee and the Naval Command will award prizes to collectives and individuals who have made significant contributions to the coordinated propaganda activities on the sea and islands during the period 2019-2024.
