Soc Trang effectively implements the Project "Selecting, perfecting, and replicating effective new cooperative models in localities across the country"

STO - On June 23, at the Soc Trang Provincial Cultural and Conference Center, the Department of Finance of Soc Trang province held a conference to summarize Decision No. 167/QD-TTg dated February 3, 2021 of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Selecting, perfecting, and replicating effective new cooperative models in localities across the country, period 2021 - 2025, Soc Trang province" (referred to as the Project). Attending were leaders of relevant departments, branches; leaders of typical cooperatives in the whole province.

After 4 years of implementing the Project, with the efforts of all levels, sectors and localities, the awareness of the masses, especially the cooperatives participating in the Project on collective economic development (KTTT) has changed positively, achieving consensus in awareness in society about the position and role of the KTTT sector and cooperatives in economic, political, cultural and social development. Soc Trang province has implemented the Project on schedule according to the guidance of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (now the Ministry of Finance ); well implemented a number of policies to support the development of cooperatives such as: policies to support investment in infrastructure and product processing, policies to support the application of new science, technology and technology, policies to support young workers to work in cooperatives...

In addition, cooperatives participating in the Project have boldly changed traditional production and management methods; improved quality and operational efficiency; promoted the transformation of production structure; creatively applied scientific and technical advances, new technologies, and high technologies to increase productivity and improve product quality to meet VietGAP, organic, and GlobalGAP standards... Proactively and actively improving capacity and competitiveness through digital transformation, applying information technology, managing and organizing production from input to production and consumption of domestic products and exporting sales channels. Perfecting local product value chains to improve the quality of member service provision; promoting linkages between members and cooperatives, enterprises, and other economic organizations...

Comrade Vuong Thanh Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Finance of Soc Trang province shared that in the period of 2026 - 2030, in order to effectively implement the Project, the unit will continue to develop dynamic and effective collective economy and cooperatives, contributing to job creation, increasing income, building new rural areas and ensuring social security, continuing to affirm the position and role of collective economy and cooperatives in the national economy. Attracting the majority of farmers to participate in cooperatives, mobilizing more and more organizations and enterprises to participate or associate with cooperatives. Proactively implementing digital transformation to innovate production and business methods, improve labor productivity, competitiveness, production and business efficiency, adapt to new development situations...
