This year's tournament brings together nearly 250 athletes and coaches from 8 localities and units across the country, including Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Hai Duong and the People's Public Security.
Athletes competed in three events: sabre, foil and sabre, with a total of 21 sets of medals divided into two age groups of 17 and 20 years old.
In the 17-year-old age group, athletes compete in 6 individual events and 3 mixed events. The 20-year-old age group has a total of 12 events, including individual and team events for both men and women.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the matches officially took place. The tournament will last until May 30. Through the tournament, the organizing committee will evaluate the quality of training and coaching and is an opportunity to select outstanding athletes to supplement the national team.
