"No need to compare with others, just need to improve every day than the day before"

Opening the discussion, Mr. Andy Vu - General Director of DigiMind Group, Chairman of the 1989 Entrepreneurs Club led with a quote from Nelson Mandela: "You don't need an atomic bomb to destroy a country, just destroy education ", and emphasized the importance of knowledge by citing examples from Singapore, Israel, Finland, South Korea, Japan - countries with limited resources but thanks to investment in education, have grown strongly.

The question was posed to the CEOs present at the event: "When mentioning the spirit that General Secretary To Lam called for a strong Vietnam, what feelings and thoughts does 'national resilience' evoke in you?"

Responding to the question, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Founder & CEO of Vietnam Human Resources Transformation Company (VHRT) expressed: "I feel a new belief. Now we are entering a phase of 'work hard, play hard, eat hard'. I believe that is the path that every Vietnamese person wants to join hands with."

CEOs participate in the discussion.

According to Mr. Le Thanh Dung - CEO Minvoice: "For me, national resilience is linked to cleaning because education reflects the economy and the face of a country. Together with Resolution 198 focusing on education, the country is truly entering a period of transformation."

As a human resources expert and passionate about history, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong shared her personal concerns when thinking about the development of Vietnamese knowledge in the flow of history. She recalled the memories associated with the A80 milestone and the heroic image of Pham Tuan, who opened up the desire to conquer space. According to her, Vietnam needs to continue to learn the quintessence of Western knowledge, but must know how to "bring it back and tailor it in a Vietnamese way" to suit the national reality.

From many years of experience in training and education, Ms. Phuong emphasized that the most important foundation for Vietnamese people to develop sustainable intelligence is the spirit of self-reliance: "There is no need to compare with others, but each day must be better than the day before."

Sharing about the journey from Hocexcel to Gitiho, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Bach - CEO of Gitiho admitted that the E-Learning path was full of difficulties, but it was the perseverance with a clear direction that helped him and his team persevere to this day. He recounted the habit of going to the library to read books every day, in which the saying "Nothing is a failure, everything is just a challenge" became a compass to overcome difficulties.

According to Mr. Bach, the secret to human success is to learn how to do one thing so well that it becomes the best in the world. Therefore, Gitiho chooses a mission that is closely linked to human development, with an open spirit and constant learning. He emphasized: “Results only come from action, and action is only sustainable when practiced continuously.”

In particular, he believes that the key to E-Learning lies in finding an easier learning method for learners, so that knowledge does not stop at receiving, but truly becomes the ability to apply.

“In the next 5 years, we aim to serve 32,000 businesses and 2.4 million learners. Beyond the numbers, Gitiho's aspiration is to build a friendly working environment where employees can develop in comfort and creativity. More importantly, we want to create a lot of valuable knowledge for Vietnamese businesses, so that each business not only grows on its own but also contributes to the common value of the country."

Overcome barriers to break through

Sharing at the event, Mr. Le Thanh Dung - CEO of Minvoice emphasized: “During the COVID-19 period, we set many goals but still struggled to implement them. Later, when approaching Gitiho's learning philosophy which is practical, inspirational and clearly measurable, I realized that the important thing is to direct people to efficiency. In fact, there are many people who are eager to learn and just need a good environment like Gitiho to develop, thereby improving business performance."

“For the past 6 months, we have focused on building content and onboarding processes (the orientation process, helping new employees quickly adapt to the culture and working environment of the business). This is an important initial step to install corporate culture, because only when the culture is shaped from the beginning, will digital transformation have the foundation to go far and be sustainable," said Mr. Dung.

The event was a great success with practical sharing drawn from "hard-won lessons" in the business world by CEOs.

From the perspective of the FMCG and F&B sector, Mr. Dam Hoang Viet - CEO of Black Pearl Vietnam (owner of F&B brand chains such as Do Do milk tea, Mr. Goodtea, Bong Bieng) expressed: “From the day we opened our first store, we faced a fiercely competitive market, like going to the battlefield, always having to be ready. What helps Black Pearl stand firm is our internal strength and self-reliance. If we only looked at the financial strength of our competitors, we certainly would not dare to go to battle. But thanks to the strength of our team, discipline, flexibility and continuously cultivated knowledge, we have created our own mettle to survive and develop. Fortunately, accompanying Gitiho has helped businesses have a solid knowledge foundation to dig deep, avoid being eliminated and nurture new momentum."

According to the CEO of Black Pearl, it is only with knowledge that businesses can make maximum improvements. Knowledge is the foundation for continuous innovation, but more importantly, we must have the spirit of self-reliance to know how to use what we have, improve step by step, and turn the ordinary into great value. When businesses set clear goals and aspirations, knowledge and self-reliance will be the driving force to contribute to building a strong Vietnam.

To spread the spirit of 'self-reliance and self-respect for knowledge' in the community, what do CEOs want to convey?

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Bach, CEO of Gitiho: “Choose one thing to do and learn how to do it best in the world.”

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, CEO of VHRT: "Learning from abroad, but the important thing is to apply and practice in the business to find the most suitable thing."

Mr. Le Thanh Dung, CEO of Minvoice: "Spread the spirit of self-reliance through practical actions every day."

Mr. Dam Hoang Viet, CEO of Black Pearl Vietnam: "Knowledge is an asset that when we give, we also receive in return."
