To awaken patriotism and cultivate awareness of the glorious history of the National Assembly.
Nearly eight decades ago, the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly on January 6, 1946, marked a particularly important milestone in the nation's history. For the first time, the Vietnamese people exercised their democratic rights through universal suffrage, affirming the legitimacy of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and simultaneously expressing the burning aspiration for a state of the people, by the people, and for the people.
Over 15 terms, the Vietnamese National Assembly has continuously and vigorously reformed both its organization and operational methods, increasingly improving the quality of legislation, supervision, and decision-making on important national issues. Each step forward of the National Assembly is closely linked to the nation's development, clearly affirming its central role in building a socialist rule of law state in Vietnam, serving the people and the nation.

It is precisely because of this profound significance that Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh stated that the online interactive quiz "Learning about 80 years since the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly," organized by the Committee on Culture and Society in coordination with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the National Assembly Office, has become an important bridge, contributing to arousing patriotism and fostering awareness of the glorious history of the National Assembly among the younger generation - the future owners of the country.
According to the Organizing Committee's report, over six months and two consecutive stages, the competition created a positive effect and widespread impact, attracting more than 2.1 million participants in stage 1; and over 1.8 million views, interactions, and comments on Facebook in stage 2. Many localities and units achieved very high participation rates.

“Eight weekly first prizes, 80 prizes for the fastest and most correct answers to each question – these numbers are vivid proof of the appeal of the theme of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese National Assembly; they also show the deep interest, learning spirit, patriotism, political awareness, and civic responsibility of today's youth,” emphasized Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh.
Continue to spread the spirit of democracy, the rule of law, and civic responsibility.
The competition has concluded, but the journey of spreading historical values, democratic spirit, rule of law, and civic responsibility will surely continue to be inherited and promoted by younger generations. In that spirit, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh suggested that the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union continue to promote and expand the success of the competition among young people; diversify the methods of disseminating information about constitutional and legislative history, the organization and operation of the National Assembly, especially on digital platforms suitable to the information access characteristics of young people.

In addition, media outlets continue to focus on maintaining special sections, pages, and media products about the National Assembly, thereby contributing to deepening the affection, pride, and trust of the people in the National Assembly, the highest representative body of the people and the highest state power organ of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
At the same time, every youth union member, regardless of their position or circumstances, should constantly study and improve their legal knowledge, nurture revolutionary ideals, aspire to excel, and dedicate themselves to serving the nation and the people.

In response to the demands of the new era, an era of national progress, the Vietnamese National Assembly must constantly innovate its organization and working methods, and continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency in fulfilling its functions and duties. On this journey, according to Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, today's young generation of Vietnam is the vanguard force, possessing intellect, courage, and aspirations to build the country. "The National Assembly is always ready to accompany, listen to, and create conditions for young people to develop their role, intellect, and responsibility towards the common cause of the nation."
