Accident on Mang Yang Pass, car on fire, traffic jam

On the afternoon of August 14, Ms. Bui Thi Thuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Po commune, Gia Lai province, said that the authorities are organizing rescue operations for the damaged vehicle to clear traffic on National Highway 19, through Mang Yang pass.

Initial information, at about 3:00 p.m. the same day, on National Highway 19, through Mang Yang Pass (Dak Po commune, Gia Lai province), an accident occurred between a truck and a tractor trailer.

At that time, the tractor with license plate 15H-062.08 pulling a semi-trailer with license plate 15R-055.02 carrying durian, driven by Mr. VHT (born in 1993, residing in Can Tho city), was traveling from Hra commune to Dak Po commune.

When reaching Mang Yang Pass, this car collided with a truck with license plate 81C-284.36 (driver unknown) carrying noodles, traveling in the same direction ahead.

The collision caused both vehicles to flip to one side, goods were scattered on the road, causing a temporary traffic jam. The front of the tractor-trailer caught fire. Fortunately, the accident did not cause any human casualties.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities immediately arrived at the scene to help put out the fire. By 3:55 p.m., the fire was completely extinguished.

Authorities are rescuing vehicles and clearing the scene to clear traffic as soon as possible.

It is known that National Highway 19 is a vital route with a large volume of traffic. According to the leader of Dak Po Commune People's Committee, the accident caused traffic congestion. Vehicles lined up to wait to pass. At 5 p.m., traffic was still congested. The accident injured the truck driver and he was taken to the emergency room.
