According to information from the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), the unit recently coordinated with the Anti-Corruption, Economic Crime and Smuggling Investigation Police Department of Hanoi City Police to conduct a surprise inspection of a business in Hoang Mai ward, discovering and temporarily seizing a large quantity of products suspected of violating regulations.
The business selling cosmetics, consumer goods, and household electrical appliances is located at 88 Louis 8, Louis Urban Area, Hoang Mai Ward. The household appliances, mainly thermal pots, rechargeable floor fans, egg beaters/dough mixers, non-stick pans, cutlery sets, etc., lacked information displayed on product labels, packaging, and accompanying documentation.
At the time of inspection, the owner of the establishment failed to present documents, certificates of origin, contracts, sales invoices, customs declarations, and other documents proving legal ownership of the goods as required by regulations. The number of infringing goods at the establishment amounted to hundreds of different product types.
During the inspection, the business owner admitted that all the goods sold at the establishment were sourced illegally from the market.

Initially, the inspection team determined that the items showed signs of violating regulations regarding product labeling and origin. Many products were labeled in foreign languages but lacked documentation proving legal importation or the required quality declarations.
All the infringing goods have been seized and a report has been filed for further investigation and processing in accordance with regulations.
