
According to information from the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), the unit has just presided over and coordinated with the Department of Police Investigation of Crimes on Corruption, Economy and Smuggling, Hanoi City Police, to suddenly inspect a business household in Hoang Mai Ward, discovered and temporarily seized a large quantity of products with signs of violating regulations.
The business establishment sells cosmetics, consumer goods, and household electrical appliances at 88 Louis 8, Louis urban area, Hoang Mai ward. The household appliances are mainly thermos pots, rechargeable floor fans, egg beaters, non-stick pans, spoon and fork boxes... with no information displayed on product labels, product packaging, or accompanying documents.
At the time of inspection, the owner of the facility could not present documents, certificates of origin of goods, contracts, sales invoices, customs declarations, as well as documents proving legal ownership of the goods as prescribed. The number of violating goods at the facility amounted to hundreds of types of products.
Working with the inspection team, the business owner admitted that all the goods sold at the business were imported illegally on the market.

Initially, the inspection team determined that the above items showed signs of violations regarding product labels and origin. Many products were labeled in foreign languages but did not have documents proving legal import or quality declaration as required.
All infringing goods have been temporarily detained for further investigation and handling according to regulations.
