The Vietnamese language enhancement project is a crucial strategy, helping children develop all four skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—and familiarize them with new learning methods. Children are introduced to Vietnamese through conversations, games, pictures, singing, dancing, storytelling, drawing, and counting. Schools also organize academic activities such as storytelling competitions, poetry readings, and singing in Vietnamese to spark their interest in learning.
Teachers proactively communicate in Vietnamese in all situations close to daily life, helping students increase their vocabulary, use Vietnamese frequently, gradually overcome language barriers, and improve their ability to understand the subject.
In the 2025-2026 school year, the entire province will have over 32,800 children entering first grade, of which more than 11,600 are ethnic minority students. The project not only helps these children prepare for primary school but also improves the quality of education in areas with large ethnic minority populations.
