Strengthening the force at checkpoints to prevent smuggling

The Cao Bang Provincial Border Guard Command has just deployed reinforcements to Tra Linh Border Guard Station to step up the fight against and prevent illegal transportation of goods across the border before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2026.

The reinforcement force was mobilized according to the plan of the Border Guard Command and the Provincial Border Guard to launch a peak period of crime prevention and control, drug and human trafficking; combat smuggling and trade fraud along the entire border. The working groups closely coordinated with officers and soldiers of Tra Linh Station to organize closed patrols, maintain checkpoints in key areas, promptly detect and handle violations, especially drugs, smuggling, illegal entry and exit and weapons storage. At the same time, the unit stepped up propaganda so that people would not assist in illegal acts, contributing to maintaining security and order in the border area.

Lao Cai industrial production continues to grow

In November 2025, industrial production in Lao Cai province maintained a fairly good growth rate, with the IIP (industrial production index) estimated to increase by nearly 19% over the same period in 2024. In the 11 months, the IIP of the whole industry increased by 8.66% over the same period, showing a positive recovery trend of the industrial sector. Many industries recorded high growth rates, including: Electricity and gas production and distribution (up nearly 73%); metal production (up more than 64%); garment production (up nearly 32%); wood processing and products from wood, bamboo and rattan (up nearly 24%). Processing and manufacturing industry increased by more than 9.6% over the same period in 2024.

9,640 farmer members have e-commerce accounts

Over the past 5 years, the Farmers' Association of Tuyen Quang province has supported 9,640 members with accounts on e-commerce platforms to connect and consume agricultural products; coordinated the organization of 70 training conferences on digital transformation in production and consumption of agricultural products for more than 8,000 people. Promotional activities have been promoted by the association at all levels through 19 booths introducing and consuming OCOP products and local specialties; promoting on the website introducing and connecting to consume Tuyen Quang agricultural products; organizing farmers to participate in festivals, agricultural-trade exhibitions; connecting to consume products through trade centers, supermarkets and wholesale markets organized by the Central Vietnam Farmers' Association and the provinces.

Son La expands agricultural export market

Export continues to be the driving force for production and competitiveness enhancement in Son La province. Along with expanding standard growing areas and improving the quality of agricultural products, the province focuses on developing export support services, contributing to stable and sustainable product consumption. In 2025, Son La aims to achieve 215 million USD in export value; in the past 11 months, it has reached more than 208 million USD, an increase of nearly 18%, of which agricultural products account for more than 202 million USD. Key products such as mango, longan, tea, and coffee continue to maintain their markets in China, Japan, and the EU. The province strengthens support for businesses in logistics, quality control, traceability, and trade promotion; at the same time, implementing the export plan for the period 2026-2030, striving to reach 400 million USD by 2030.

Thai Nguyen develops high-quality tea material areas

Thai Nguyen is promoting the development of high-quality tea material areas. The whole province currently has about 24,000 hectares of tea, of which nearly 22,000 hectares are producing products. In 2025, the province plans to plant and replant 420 hectares; to date, nearly 100 hectares have been implemented, creating a foundation for expanding the material areas synchronously and sustainably. In the period of 2023-2025, the Provincial Farmers' Association supported the establishment of 73 cooperatives, 163 cooperative groups and many production models according to VietGAP and organic standards, contributing to standardizing farming processes and improving competitiveness. More than 3,260 farmers have been trained in techniques, strengthening value chain linkages. Currently, there are more than 205 organizations and individuals using the collective trademark "Thai Nguyen Tea", of which the geographical indication "Tan Cuong" has been protected in the EU, expanding opportunities to bring products to the international market.

Phu Tho develops commercial agriculture

Phu Tho continues to affirm a strong shift in agricultural restructuring with 686 concentrated growing areas on 82.8 thousand hectares, many of which meet VietGAP, GlobalGAP and organic standards. The productivity of key crops such as rice, tea, vegetables, grapefruit, etc. has increased. Value chain linkages continue to expand with 219 safe supply chains, many OCOP products have affirmed their brands. Poultry, beef and dairy farming maintain growth, many farms apply biosafety. The new rural construction program has achieved outstanding results with 84/133 communes meeting standards, the poverty rate has decreased to 2.75%. The province has also completed the elimination of 10,801 temporary houses, affirming its concern for poor households and ethnic minorities.
