On January 16th in Hanoi, the National Economics University held a ceremony to announce the inclusion of the Journal of Economics and Development in the Scopus database.
In his congratulatory remarks, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc stated that JED is the second journal from universities under the Ministry of Education and Training to successfully join the Scopus database. The Journal of Economics (JED) has made remarkable progress, reaching international recognition and officially being indexed in the prestigious Scopus database. With JED's inclusion in Scopus, Vietnamese economists can now participate in international publications in JED, contributing to enhancing the presence and dissemination of Vietnamese science within the international scientific community. From now on, Vietnamese economists can publish internationally in JED.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc assigned the JED Journal the task of sharing its experiences in upgrading JED standards with Vietnamese scientific journals so that Vietnam can have more journals that meet international standards, increase Vietnam's scientific potential in the world, and contribute to the successful implementation of the Government's Project 69 on "Improving the quality of higher education in the period 2019-2025".
At the same time, the Deputy Minister expressed confidence that the JED Journal and the National Economics University will continue to leverage their strengths and implement innovative and groundbreaking solutions to maintain JED's sustainable development in Scopus and join other prestigious international databases. He also requested that the JED Journal focus on key research areas with high impact, such as sustainable development issues in the new context, to contribute even more to national, regional, and global science.
